Dr. Mullen is top notch. He is kind considerate, and knowledgable. He has been helping me with a very difficult problem, and has treated me for years. I see him for any issue involving my feet. Highly recommended.

I finally have hope to be without pain after years of suffering. Dr Mullen was so patient and kind he spent so much time with me. Everything I thought I was doing to help myself I was hurting myself more. I am so grateful to him.

I highly recommend him. He is a caring and an amazing person. He stopped my ingrown nails on both toes. When I got an abscess on my toe, I was bleeding a lot. I thought I was going to lose my toe. He did a procedure on it and he saved my toe! The recovery went great! As a patient that he has for years, my toe is getting better and better. I'm glad to have him as my podiatrist.

I have gone to see Dr. David Mullen for the second time the other day. My visit this time was to have some callouses removed on both of my feet. I have been going to another foot doctor for years and each time I went to the other office out in Naugatuck, they always would start that visit by soaking my feet in a hot bubbling foot bath with a solution in the tub for about 5 to 10 minutes. Then I would get on the table and they would put another solution on my callouses and keep them moist by adding drenched cotton to bottom of my feet with a softening solution until the doctor would come into the room to remove the callouses. The doctor in Naugatuck would then take a scalpel and shave off the biggest parts of the callous and then to smooth everything out he would use a machine with a sandpaper type of wheel to get rid of any jaggedness to make it all smooth. He would finish by putting on a lotion or powder. My feet were baby soft. Dr. David Mullen did nothing near this. No foot bath, No softening solution, No razor or scalpel tool. All he did within 5 minutes was use the sanding wheel. When he finished he said he did not want to remove any more because he said it would hurt. I know from experience that there could have been much more removed without any discomfort. I feel like my visit was very rushed unless that is how he always does this procedure for all his patients. I was so disappointed. I went home and removed the callouses myself with a buffing system I bought. It was a total waste of my time and insurance money. I will drive to Naugatuck from now on to have that procedure done.
As far as Dr. Mullen and his personality or bedside manor, he doesn't have one. My first visit with him was a little better so I thought I would try him again. I doubt I will be going back. He just doesn't seem to care much. It seem like he is just going through the motions and doesn't really want to be there. The staff is great! Love them. I may give him another try, but only because he is close to home, but I doubt it. I hope this review will help you to decide on if you would like to try him or not. Best of luck.
