I just had my birthday at Parker’s yesterday and let me start off by saying; the ambiance, the food, the service everything was a 100/10. I had never been to this restaurant before and before booking a reservation i had a quick chat with the manager. He ensured me that he would take good care of me and my family and they did not disappoint! The food was very delicious, the drinks were strong but tasty, the scenery was absolutely beautiful. It’s a very spacious restaurant and perfect for occasions or just stopping by for a quick lunch! I definitely will be back, thank you again Parker’s for a great birthday!
I was really excited to try Parker Eatery in Shelton after hearing good things and seeing photos of their food. My girlfriend and I met there for a weeknight dinner after work. It was the perfect halfway point and a great chance to finally check the place out.
I ordered the prime rib, something I always try anywhere that offers it. When I ordered, my server told me it did not come with any sides, only the meat, and that I would have to order sides separately. I went with the seasonal veggies. My girlfriend ordered the meatloaf, which came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. She said it was decent overall, though the gravy lacked flavor.
My prime rib, however, was a major disappointment. I ordered it medium rare, but the cook was completely uneven. One side was well done while the other was nearly rare. The first cut told me everything I needed to know. It was tough, gristly, and full of silver skin. It was difficult to cut and even harder to chew. The flavor was just as underwhelming, bland and lifeless even by simple prime rib standards. The au jus and horseradish cream helped a bit, but not enough to save it.
To make things worse, the small side of seasonal veggies cost $9, on top of the $44 prime rib. For that price, I expected something far better in both quality and execution.
Overall, it is a shame. Parker is a cool spot with a nice atmosphere, but the food just did not live up to the hype. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be back.
Stopped by Parker today for lunch. Super clean restaurant. Nice bar area. Friendly bartender. Yummy yummy pick your own salads. We loved it!
We have had the pleasure of dining here on numerous occasions. Last night we had the prime rib - generous portions cooked to perfection. All the staff were very attentive - food came out very quickly. We also frequent Parker Pizza which is fun and informal.
Who knew cookies for desert could be so delectable?
I had the pleasure of dining at Parker (Shelton) recently, and it was a delightful experience! The lamb lollipops were absolutely fantastic—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. They were definitely a highlight of the meal. I also tried their special burger, which was equally impressive. The flavors were well-balanced, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality.
The ambiance at Parker is warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a casual yet upscale dining experience. The staff was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe.
I highly recommend Parker for anyone looking for delicious food and great service in Shelton!
