Came to Prospect, CT to visit the in-laws with the family. Wife and I stopped by for a Gi class on Sunday and it was great. Professor Chris is professional and breaks it down easily. Got a few rounds in and nobody was spazzy or trying to prove anything even though we were just visiting. Definitely recommend for those looking to get into a marital arts or their kids.
I just started my daughter (age 9) training with Coach Chris at Technique BJJ at the beginning of summer, she has loved every second of it! Great staff of coaches with a terrific approach to teaching kids! Would highly recommend! Although she’s just starting her journey into the martial arts the experience so far has been top notch! Technique is a great place to train! After training at a few different gyms in the area, I found a home at Technique. Coach Chris is excellent! He is clear in his instruction, provides individualized feedback, and makes sure all his students feel safe and welcomed. Drop in for a class, you won’t regret it!
This is a great place, a great learning environment. I enjoy coming here; other practitioners are friendly and helpful. Coach Chris is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. If you never trained this is the place to start. If you have trained this is also the place to continue. “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step”, so take your first step through the doors of Techinque and you’ll be happy. Im in my second year here and hope to be here many more years.
My family and I have been training with Chris for well over a year now. Both my son (9) and daughter (8) train in the kids program and my husband and I in the adult program. The atmosphere is welcoming and fun along with Chris’ calm teaching demeanor. I have watched the confidence of my children grow thanks to jiu-jitsu as well as my own.
Technique BJJ is a female friendly gym with both girls and women in the kids and adults class. I personally feel extremely comfortable and welcomed every time I walk thru that door.
I would highly recommend coming and training or even just taking a trial class!
Walking thru the door can be the hardest part at times, but I promise it’s worth it!
