Tried this place for the first time last night, and it was delicious! I had the Dubai Chocolate flavor — you taste pistachio in one bite, coconut in the next, and chocolate in another — a perfect blend of flavors, yum!! My husband had the banana flavor and loved it. Generous portions & reasonable prices
Also shoutout to the young employees! We were there at 9:15 pm and it was still busy, but all the staff were smiling & positive & friendly! 😊 Cute old-fashioned decor inside, a few benches outside. Will definitely be back!
Lots of flavors, roomy icecream parlor. Staff are so nice - very find and helpful team. Spacious location to buy and enjoy your icecream. Nice portions and decent pricing.
I recently had the pleasure to take part in the Big Dipper Ice Cream Challenge and couldn’t be more happy about my experience! This was my first time ever visiting the shop and the owner and staff greeted everyone in the most accommodating and friendly manner. Locals in attendance also beamed friendliness and struck up conversations making me feel welcome and included in their community. The ice cream itself was absolutely DELICIOUS! My team devoured their party cake flavor which consisted of a cake batter flavored vanilla base mixed with rainbow sprinkles. Despite consuming almost a gallon of this flavor, it never grew tiresome or boring! It had a velvety creaminess that didn’t feel heavy to eat and it wasn’t overbearingly sweet. I highly recommend The Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlour for anyone looking for a cozy spot to enjoy their next round of ice cream. Fingers crossed they bring back the challenge (and their double oreo flavor 😋🤞🏿).
Many flavors to choose from which made my first time pretty difficult to order. We got the graham jam, rum and raisin, Grapenut and pistachio. The pistachio was my least favorite of the 4 but we went back to try other flavors which were also good.
They make their own waffle cones which was not good to me but my spouse liked it. In my opinion it is super sweet and too thick.
Plenty of parking around the store and seating areas outside as well to enjoy the weather. There is handicap parking and a ramp for entry.
The interior is very nostalgic and original with the seating area and decor. There are a few grab and go fridges with prepackaged ice cream and ice cream sandwiches.
The staff is super friendly and patient.
