Valley Floor Covering has installed laminate wood and wall to wall carpeting for us as well as refinished our stained, beat up 70 year old hardwoods. On every job they’ve done beautiful work. The staff has been hardworking, professional, and great to work with. When we went into the store to pick floors, the sales associate was very knowledgeable and able to help us pick flooring that fit our needs and taste. Highly recommend them for any flooring job.

Peter and his staff did an amazing job with our new kitchen floor. He was very informative and directed my wife in the best choice for what she was looking for. There are no guarantees with refinishing vintage hardwood floors, but Valley Floor exceeded our expectations in every way.

When I first decided to refinish our floors, I knew I had to be selective about who I hired given the state of the floors. 75 years old, never properly refinished, with surface stains, moisture stains, and black spots where nails from a carpet had rusted through.

I vetted 6 or 7 flooring companies throughout CT. Several pushed me toward new hardwood, or didn’t even offer refinishing (only new installs). Their heart wasn’t in restorations. Others were going to charge more than Valley for less attention to detail. Valley, on the other hand, was confident they could do the job and walked me through their process.

I was impressed with Valley from day 1, but what made me choose them was their before & after pics on FB! I suggest taking a look to get a feel for their work. They also offered a competitive price.

Now that the floors are done, we are happy we chose Valley. They did exceptional work at every step: prep, sanding, staining, coating, installing new quarter round on the baseboards - and it shows.
