My sister-in law has been in Alcoeur Gardens of Toms River for approximately 3years and she loves it there. She is well taken care of both mentally and physically. The staff is very caring and knowledgeable. The place itself is well taken care of, and the food is prepared fresh for every meal. It has a very homey feeling. The grounds and home is decorated for every season and holiday.

As our loved one's dementia progressed, the large facility where she previously resided could no longer provide the intensive care needed. Thankfully, we found Alcoeur Gardens! The small number of residents allows the incredible staff to devote maximum attention. The community feels like a family including the residents, their family members and the Alcoeur staff. It is very comforting to our family knowing she is in such good hands 24 hours a day.

It’s an extremely difficult decision to make when your loved one can no longer, safely, care for themself and you cannot accomodate full time care. Our family had gone to no less than ten facilities in the community and really couldn’t imagine our mom in any of them. That is until we found Alcoeur Gardens. The staff has been absolutely wonderful and our mom is taken care of beautifully. There are always activities, parties, singing and plenty of other things to keep mom engaged . It’s small enough that mom can walk around without feeling overwhelmed and kept spotlessly clean. It’s a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Alcoeur Gardens is truly a family. Mom is treated with the utmost care and respect. There is always an activity, birthday or barbecue going on Everyone goes above and beyond to make sure every resident is comfortable and happy. I couldn’t find a better place for Mom.
