Apples Mexican Italian Restaurant and Bar

We are from out of town and booked a night at the Executive Suites in Carteret, N J. for a family function. When we arrived at the hotel we saw Apples Restaurant in the hotel lobby, after reading the reviews we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. They have a large selection of Mexican, Italian, burgers, warps and the prices were reasonable. I ordered the skirt steak based on the waitress recommendation and my wife had the chicken quesadilla, they were both delicious. We also ordered flan with a scoop of ice cream for dessert that was the best we ever had. We highly recommend this establishment and you will definitely be pleased with this gem.

What started as a cheap hotel booking for a concert at MetLife improved immensely by the intrigue of Apples. The initial confusion of Apples - Mexican Italian Restaurant, the curiosity of checking it out, and being absolutely blown away by easily the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The carnitas street tacos were amazing. The street corn was mind blowing. And the churros? I’ve never had such a perfectly crispy and moist churro in my life. I want to go back to the hotel just to eat here again. Don’t be fooled by the outer appearance of this place, it’s incredible.

We decided to try another local business tonight, Apples Mexican Italian restaurant in the Executive Suites hotel. It was VERY good. I honestly didn't know what to expect from a fusion of Mexican and Italian but our dinner was superb. And I am a foodie and not easily impressed. The service was wonderful as well. The salmon champagne was a highlight for me. We will definitely be back. This one is a winner.

Wanted to try out the new place in carteret and ordered takeout. My order was 3 tacos, a chimichanga, 1 empanada, and 3 rather small sides. The food was very tasty and was made within 15-20 minutes. So that was great, but portions were less than desirable for the cost.
My entire order was in a bag 8"tall x 12" wide and 12" deep and totaled out at $75.
I know times are tough but for $75. I really would have expected to be bringing home far more food and at least sides to be part of entrees, not additional costs.

Amazing food and service!! Staff was friendly and helpful. Their happy hour is a good deal and the Margaritas were sooo good! Food was great and so fresh . Highly recommend stopping in for a bite and drink! Great people,
