At peace birth and wellness

For my first pregnancy, I had a confusing start to care. After working through 3 different medical providers I felt I had a lot of unanswered or ignored questions. During my 30th week of pregnancy, a client of mine at the gym recommended Kerry at At Peace Birth and Wellness. After an easy and fun first conversation, I knew I wanted to have Kerry assist my birthing experience. The team she has built, the educations and care she provides, and her top notch personality all made me feel prepared and empowered during my first labor. I highly recommend working with the At Peace team! The classes were informative and allowed space for questions and community building with likeminded families. I am so grateful that Kerry prepared me through both education and mental resilience for my dream birth plan.

Highly recommend!!! I gave birth at capital health in hopewell, and all of the nurses and midwives knew Kerry and Camille and said they always recommend them to new moms. It was my first time giving birth and they really set my mind at ease, whether it was in a 1-on-1 session or through call/text. The classes were super helpful too! The team is very educated in all aspects of birth, including the medical side. Camille guided me through my labor and was so patient and chill, and always knew what to do! I couldn’t have done it without her support and knowledge!

I love At peace birth and wellness! I took a birthing class with Kerry and she is amazing! It was very informative! Kerry made sure we understood everything and answered all of our questions. I didn’t feel as anxious about giving birth after learning what to expect and all of my options. I wasn’t able to have her as my doula, but she still kept in contact with me and answered any questions I had. That shows how passionate she is and how much she truly cares for mothers. She is such a caring and amazing human! I would highly recommend At peace birth and wellness!

I don’t know where to begin! I have the upmost love and respect for Kerry and Camille. These ladies really care and protect their mamas. When first signing on with them they made sure my birth plan aligned with the hospital I was originally planning on birthing at. With further discussion and education we came to the agreement that with wanting a low intervention/ natural birth that the first hospital wasn’t ideal for my plan. They both guided me in feeling confident about my decision in switching practices at 20 weeks. At 31 weeks I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. I was devastated and felt like this threw a wrench in my birth plan. After discussing with them and attending the medical intervention class I learned that despite being induced via pitocin an unmedicated labor was still on the table. When it came time to deliver Camille was amazing. My husband and I can’t thank her enough. She was encouraging, empowering and made us laugh. There’s something so beautiful about women helping each other during labor. Camille helped in so many ways during our labor but to list a few she helped by massaging me, getting me into positions to help our baby transition, helping calm me in the tub and made the ambience of our room so calming and inviting for our little one’s grand entrance into the world. She took the most beautiful picture of my husband and I when our little boy arrived. Pregnancy can be overwhelming and the unknown for first time moms. These two made it such a beautiful experience for not only myself but for my husband as well. If you’re looking for a doula these ladies are for you!

I sincerely cannot thank Kerry enough for everything she did for me, my husband and our baby over the last 10+ months. From the chats, to her birth education classes and everything in between.

More specifically how she held space for me during labor all day and night. My husband and I keep reflecting back and while labor was extremely difficult for me at times, and very long - knowing that she had my back the entire time and supported me in all the right ways at the right times was something so powerful and incredible.

Kerry truly has a gift and I could not be more grateful to have gotten to witness and work with her through this pregnancy. She held space for me and provided plenty of guidance and support especially during the more intense moments where I wanted to give in. Her voice and motivation are truly what kept me going. It was also great having another strong voice in the room when we had to make game time decisions.

While I had always expected to feel like birth would be an initiation into a new version of myself, never did I imagine how much the other people in the room would contribute to that power, especially Kerry! The atmosphere of the room truly felt like a different reality.

Kerry also took a bunch of photos during labor and birth that we will always have something to look back on and remember the incredible day our daughter was born.

Cannot wait to work with Kerry again for our future babies! Hiring a her as our doula was one of the best decisions we made during this pregnancy ♥️
