Awesome place. I'm writing this after visiting this place twice. First time he did a great job with various fixes/repairs at a reasonable price. Second time was especially good as well. He had a loaner car available and allowed me to use it while he was working on my truck. I love the fact that he is enthusiastic and very knowledgable about Land Rovers in general and offers free advice a lot of the time. I've done a lot of work myself on my LR3 so a lot of it definitely comes in handy, but sometimes I'll take it here for a job that looks a little too complicated and time sensitive.
While searching for a local Land Rover specialist to diagnose a driveline issue George at Authorized Imported Cars was recommenced to me by many in local forum/groups and I couldn’t be happier to have found such an expert in the area. Not only did he quickly diagnose the problem (to be far less then I feared) and recommended an upgraded part and had me back on the road/trails in a few short days. I’ve since joined the ranks of many who swear by his service and professionalism for all our rover needs.
I brought my 91 Range Rover Classic to George to have it looked at because it wasn't starting after it warmed up. After needing the distributor rebuilt it was up and running. Great communication through the entire repair. I recently purchased a LR4 from him as well. He meticulously serviced this vehicle since it had 30k on it, it now has 160k. Any questions I had about the history of the vehicle he provided thorough answers, he had nothing to hide.
I have personally looked at some of the vintage Jaguars and Land Rovers he is restoring currently...I'm telling you clean neat work down the proper bolt specs.
My opinion... Authorized Imports is where you want to go if you want work done right by a group of talented technicians that pay attention to details.
Authorized Imported Cars is the only place to go if you own a Land Rover. Since purchasing my 2002 P38 nearly 3 years ago, this has been the only place that I would trust. In fact, I bought my lovely range site unseen from Oregon and after having had several conversations with the owner, George Hughes, I had the truck delivered directly to him for review and service. Since that time, George has gone over and above to make this truck 100%. George has always been fair, honest and reasonable. In fact, it is often George who stops me from doing things that are over the top. I trust him implicitly. Stories of being ripped off or dissatisfied are likely owners who thing these vehicles are as cheap to maintain as a Toyota. They are complex cars that need special skills and knowledge and that can translate into money. George is always upfront and honest.
I now love my 2013 Range Rover Sport like the day I bought it. Only George and the crew at Authorized imported cars were able to diagnose and fix my suspension issues. It was brought to a big corporate owned Land Rover dealer multiple times (*where I bought it from!) and they couldn’t figure out what it definitely needed. At 54k current miles it drives like it’s brand new again. It needed all 4 air suspension struts and some other suspension related parts that the new car Land Rover dealer service Dept told me it didn’t need. They couldn’t have been more wrong. If it’s not under warranty, I don’t take it to a Land Rover dealer. I take it to a Land Rover specialist. Thank you to George and the crew of Authorized imported cars.
