Staff is wonderful, the doctors are both very knowledgeable and patient.

After my unpleasant visit to Berg Animal Hospital in Matawan, NJ, in June 2025, I felt anxious about my next appointment. However, as soon as we walked in, I noticed that something was different. The waiting room was bright, and the staff at the front desk greeted us with big smiles and were ready to assist. To my surprise, everyone had changed. It felt like a breath of fresh air.
From the moment we arrived, I felt reassured knowing my pet was in such capable and compassionate hands. A special thank you to Dr Gorlenko, whose kindness, gentleness, and expertise made all the difference. It is evident how much you genuinely care for your patients, and that brought me great comfort during a difficult time. To Becc and Kat, your gentle touch and loving care while handling Sheba did not go unnoticed. You treated her as if she were your own, which means more to me than I can express. And to the welcoming faces at the front desk, Heather and Anna--thank you for always being friendly, helpful, and kind. Your professionalism and warm demeanor set the tone for the visit. It is rare to find such a dedicated and compassionate team, and I feel truly fortunate to have found Berg Animal Hospital. The staff at the Berg Hospital are beyond extraordinary! They are compassionated people who cares not only for the animals but the owners as well. I am personally grateful for the guidance that was provided me to rehabilitate Iman. During my first visit I brought in a 81lbs Cane Corso who was insecure, fragile and fearful of people. However one the last visit, walking through the door was a confident, powerful and trained 123lbs dog. Their medical attention was great but the love and compassion was more powerful.
