This property is clearly showing its age. Appliances break down frequently, and when something does go wrong, repairs or replacements are slow and frustrating. In some cases, it takes weeks or even months for parts to arrive. When replacements are finally provided, they are often noticeably lower-end models, which feels inconsistent with the rent being charged.
What’s even harder to justify is the high “amenity” fee. There is no 24-hour doorman, no swimming pool, and no tennis court. Comparable buildings in the same price range offer far more in terms of amenities and property services. At this property, the fee simply does not reflect what residents actually receive in return.
Many families choose this location largely to access Littlebrook Elementary School and end up paying a premium for that reason. However, recent rankings suggest the school is no longer as outstanding as it once was. Other nearby schools, such as Riverside Elementary and others in the district, are just as good, if not better. In effect, you are paying higher rent for an advantage that no longer clearly exists, when there are more cost-effective living options in Princeton.
To be fair, the front desk staff are polite, but they are clearly limited by management policies. Unfortunately, good staff alone cannot offset slow maintenance, aging facilities, and fees that don’t match the value being delivered.
Dorothy was amazing host, understanding of my family. The apartment is great with great neiborhood and environment. The fully equipped kitchen and appliances are great and in new like condition.
Service anextended teams with Ray and Edith are really great aa well
From the moment I first entered Copperwood’s lobby, my experience has been superlative. Dorothy, the property manager, has made every facet of the process, from the first tour through move-in, seamless and flawless. She is professional, welcoming and kind. Edith, the concierge, is always ready to help and her sunny disposition brightens the room. Ray, the maintenance manager was there in an instant to check on a potential issue with the front door (which turned out not to be a problem).
My beautiful apartment was spotless, as are all of the common areas of this unusually lovely complex. Throughout Copperwood, there is a concern for elegant detail and an emphasis on security that is evident.
I am thrilled with my new home and so happy to be here.
I had a great time staying at Copperwood, and I would recommend the property. Dorothy at the from desk was especially helpful.
Copperwood is a nice modern bulding, the apartments are spacious with new high quality appliances, and there is a beautiful forest nearby with lots of wild-life (a famous mathematician named Veblen use to live there 50 years ago). The soundproofing is a weak point, but the residents are quiet and respectful, so this ended up not mattering for us.
Beautiful, peaceful, with stunning wooded views, yet just around the corner from everything that downtown Princeton has to offer. Walking distance from Princeton shopping center which has dining, bagels, Ace Hardware, Walgreens, and more. The beautiful natural light from the large Windows and the gorgeous bamboo floors along with the huge walk-in closet in the main bedroom are just some of the attractions of these units. Serene walking trails through the woods let you get fresh air right outside your door. Staff is very friendly and helpful… A great place to live!
