This garden is absolutely beautiful in person. The drive there was peaceful, and as soon as I pulled in, there was plenty of parking. I can definitely see it getting crowded during the warmer months, but luckily I went on a chilly day. While I was there, I even caught a small wedding taking place and saw a woman taking photos for her quinceañera, such sweet moments to witness. 🥰
Walking the trails was so therapeutic. There are a few routes to choose from, but since it was my first visit and I was solo, I stuck with the easiest ones for me to follow. My first stop was the garden in the back, where I got to take in all the beautiful flowers and views. I even walked through a greenhouse!
& the best part, this experience was completely FREE. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful walk with a friend or even a romantic date. I’ll definitely be visiting again once spring and summer roll around. 🌸🌿
I just loved walking through these gardens! It was such a super chill and beautiful walk. You're just surrounded by amazing scenery everywhere you look, and it's a great place to clear your head. I would totally recommend this spot if you need a nice, relaxing time outside.
I visited Deep Cut Gardens last week with my 3-year-old, and it was such a lovely experience. The gardens are tranquil and beautifully maintained, with plenty of flowers, greenery, and quiet paths to explore. It’s a perfect spot for a picnic, a peaceful walk, or just sitting down with a book to relax. My little one loved wandering through the paths, and I appreciated the calm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit if you want a serene break from the busy city.
I heard about this place from a lady that I worked with. This free garden is absolutely beautiful and well maintained. This 54 acre of gardens has a multitude of plants and flowers. They also have a beautiful lily pond with tropical fish, Japanese garden. a library, and a small greenhouse.
A couple of warnings before visiting.....Make sure you spray yourself generously with bug spray as you can get eaten alive by mosquitoes. Also, depending on when you visit, be on the lookout for ticks. Some areas have poison ivy, so be careful where you walk or what you touch.
There aren't any places here to buy food or drinks, so bring some beverages and snacks as they have several places to sit down and eat.
There is only one restroom that is located in the Horticultural Library, and there is plenty of free onsite parking.
Depending on the length of a visit, you can be in and out within 1-2 hours. I definitely recommend checking this place out as it really is a great way to just relax for a little while.
This place is cool. The garden is big but not too exhausting to walk around the entire thing. The Japanese garden is my favourite thing. I want to go back and spend more time there. The general atmosphere is very relaxing and its not too crowded. Its a nice place to bring a friend or go alone.
