Such a fun time meeting Santa and Mrs Claus! The bake shop is excellent, the outdoor fire is cozy, and the farm is family-owned and they're oh so nice! Highly recommend a visit this holiday season 🎄
If you’re in the area, you definitely have to stop here and take a look around the shop. They make the most delicious old-fashioned donuts, and also have a great selection of other baked goods. They have home made jams and butters as well as their own ciders. This place has it all.
This place is a staple of my childhood and it never disappoints. Owned by the Pitney/Jacobsen family since 1851, the place is a gem. Everything is baked there, on the farm, fresh, so you barely get out of the car and you can already smell the donuts baking.
The shop has fresh baked pies, donuts, pastries, and more, and all amazing! My personal favorite is the Harvest Pie, lattice top. Bring that home and serve warm with a scoop of ice cream and you are in heaven. You can order their pies for the holidays too, and it isn’t Thanksgiving in our family unless there’s a Hacklebarney pie or two on the table.
Donuts? Cider donuts made from their own wood pressed cider, comes in plain, cinnamon, powdered sugar, and pumpkin. Buy more than you think you want, because you won’t get off the farm without eating at least one.
They also have other food, all made with cider from the farm. I love their baked beans and cider hot dogs. Of course made with cider, they are slightly sweet and delicious.
And of course there’s pick your own apples, a corn maze, and other fun stuff for kids. Me, I’m just there for the baked goods lol. The drive to get there is lovely; a windy country road along the river and rolling hills.
Only open seasonally and even then, limited days open, so check their website.
Gorgeous farm! Came for the apple cider donut and it did not disappoint! It was very busy, long lines on a Sunday morning. As soon as we entered, the parking lot was full but there is another lot down the road with plenty of space.
The market was small and had a long line despite that moved quickly. Market had plenty of baked goods and warm donuts. There were different variations of apple cider donut from maple glazed to cinnamon powder. There is a hot dog stand and small ice cream stand in which we got the famous ‘TikTok’ drink, the Apple cider float. It was good but too sweet for my liking. The vanilla ice cream sundae tasted better.
Animal friendly and two golden retrievers in property. We didn’t try the pumpkin patch or corn maze. Next time ! Come early or on a weekday where it’s less busy. Overall very family friendly.
