Hickory Hollow House

A marvelous experience! We rented the house for two weeks to be close to my family nearby. The house is meticulously maintained and decorated. It has absolutely everything you need from kitchenware to a yoga mat and Bluetooth speakers and if they don’t have it in the house, they are the type of people that would be so generous and get it for you!
Our favorite was just sitting on the dock with a cup of coffee in the morning, going for a kayak or paddle board ride or watching the sunset from the top deck. We hope to be there again next summer!

What an amazing place!!! We highly recommend staying at this property, the waterfront is amazing, the owners offer kayaks to explore the lake, free wood for evening enjoyment and stargazing. Local hiking is also first class. The house is brand new, and finished in a magnificent style, mega clean. Can't wait to return next season, or perhaps during the winter for ice fishing. Not even sure where to begin. My family and I stayed at Hickory Hollow House for 6 nights in August. Let me first start with the amenities in the house. There is NOT ONE THING missing. It is immaculate and everything you need is there for you from hair dryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, fluffy bath towels (even face towels specifically for removing make up), and beach towels! If you like to cook (which I do) you won't miss a thing in the kitchen. Everything you want and need is there for entertaining and/or just casual dinners at home. I felt as if I was in my own kitchen! The sleeping arrangements are wonderful! The queen size beds are so comfortable and each room is even equipped with charging stations for you electronics! The views from almost every window are of the lake. Walking down the steps in the morning and making coffee while looking at the lake is a memory I will have forever.
There is a peace about this lake that I have found no where else. We ate every meal outside on one of the 2 decks overlooking the lake and enjoyed the sunsets every single night from either the decks or the dock. We kayaked, sailed, took walks, played games at night, had smores by the firepit, and grilled delicious food! Everything we needed for those activities was there for us to use! There are large grocery stores within 20 minutes of the house so you can get what you need.
Pete and Michele are wonderful hosts who were attentive to every need we may have had and were full of information about the surrounding area. We never wanted to leave the house so the only night we went out was for ice cream at Windy Brow Farm and it was worth the trip up the road. Go and experience the joy that is Hickory Hollow House.... you will not regret it.

Beautiful lake house! My husband and I took our teenage sons for a long weekend. They had a great time fishing and kayaking. The lake is so peaceful and serene. We loved sitting on the dock having our morning coffee. The house itself has everything you could ask for. I personally didn’t cook while I was there but every amenity was available if I wanted to. Wide open floor plan with plenty of room to hang out and relax or play games (which there are a ton of), 3 full bathrooms (fully stocked), and one of bedrooms has a gorgeous lake view, 2 balconies with wicker furniture, huge loft and outside there is a grill with a nice size patio. Great restaurants close by as well as antique stores. We can’t wait to go back!

We stayed there as overflow after a family event. This place couldn't have been nicer. All new comfortable beds. House is clean as a whistle. Has the comfort and charm of a lake cottage, while also having a modern open space feel, and modern conveniences.
The house is right on the lake, and has plenty of parking.
There are wonderful family spaces, as well as a "Secret" deck upstairs to get away from it all. Fabulous!!!
