Dr. John Merlino and his staff have been providing excellent care for the past year. They are always very pleasant and patient. Dr. Merlino listens to your concerns and is always happy to answer any questions. Since my first appointment I’ve had many tests to thoroughly diagnose. Dr Kulpreet Barn was consulted, and it was determined that an ICD implant would be beneficial. Dr. Merlino performed the surgery, and it went great. I am so pleased with how the incision site looks - neat and smooth! Since the ICD implant, I am no longer short of breath and fatigued from doing basis activities, exercise, and working around the house. Although the damage to my heart will never be reversed, I am currently able to function and live my life with no limitations.
If you’re looking for a kind, compassionate and exceptionally skilled cardiologist, this is your doctor. My adult son is disabled and a bit difficult to work with and Dr. Merlino is the BEST. He’s been seeing my son for many years. His office is well run! Wait time in minimal and the ladies are great too!
On Tuesday I had a cardiac event that landed me in the emergency room of Community Hospital that evening. On call was cardiologist Dr. John Merlino. My lucky day. Dr. Merlino rushed in to see me, quickly diagnosed the need for a pacemaker, understood my concerns and even talked to my Phila. cardiologist that same evening who assured me I had the right man for the job and I was exactly where I should be (Community and my nurse Margaret were great) The surgery went flawlessly with this mild mannered Doctor taking on complete control of his operating room as any field commander should. And his care did not stop there, calling the nursing station several times to make sure I was
in good shape ( once at 1 am ). I am one lucky man and in the best shape of my life thanks to this great doctor.
