Kim's Martial Arts (UMI)

My daughter has been a student of Master Kim's for over a year and half now. We make it a point to drive 40 minutes to see him multiple times a week because what he offers at his school is NOT found anywhere else.
First off his expertise is unmatchable. He is a lifelong taekwondo martial artist who teaches his students the martial arts lifestyle as well as techniques. He teaches them respect, discipline and how to train their body to perform at its best ability.
Secondly, his patience and care for his students growth and well being is beyond commendable. He seems to simply know what the kids need. He is stern but not overly strict. Allowing even the hardest students the opportunity to learn and grow.
The class sizes can vary from very busy to not very busy at all. This too benefits each personality type. The school is calm, family oriented and a comfortable place to be.
Lastly, Master Kim has taught my daughter how to be strong. Show her determination and go for her goals. She has developed a love and bond from working side by side with Master Kim and other black belts as well as having him give her extra time she needed to learn things and extra understanding she needed at times when was she struggling. He balances his love and understanding with not allowing her to make excuses and by consistently pushing her forward. She is now a blue belt fighting hard to earn her black belt to make herself proud, as well as Master Kim and others she has friended or looks up to in the school.

Traditional taekwondo and hapkido instruction by a 9th Dan Grandmaster from Korea, Master Kim. A wonderful training and cultural experience for young and old alike. Highly recommend.
