Love to support a local family owned business like Lawrenceville Fuel. Family has been in the community for 60 years and been a long time customer. Needed a plumber to fix leaking tub faucet and made appt for next business day. Plumber didn't show up so i called and found out plumber had been ill and he wasn't answering calls. They were very apologetic and offered to have on-call plumber come the following night. Brian showed up as promised and was fantastic. Courteous, professional and did a great job.
Brian responded very quickly and had our furnace fixed within an hour and the furnace back on. Highly recommend this company and their wonderful techs
I've used Lawrenceville Fuel previously with excellent results each time. I had surgery scheduled for Monday morning so, of course, our sewer main decided to back up on Sunday! I called Lawrenceville Fuel, and they had a plumber here in under an hour. On a Sunday! Brian was polite, professional, and highly skilled. He asked me a few questions and assessed the situation. Brian cleared the main drain all the way to the street and fortunately the auger came back with no roots. Brian then ran the auger back through the basement main to check for stoppages there. Our old house trap was part of the problem, so Brian suggested replacing it with a straight section of PVC with a clean out for future use. Brian did an excellent job and cleaned up the work area leaving our basement in better condition than he found it! Everything is working fine. Brian was a life saver! I highly recommend Lawrenceville Fuel!
What has happened to this company? Have they been sold to someone new? Customer service seems non-existent now. We and other family members have been customers of Lawrenceville Fuel for almost 30 years. Their plumbers and HVAC techs have always been great. We have a relatively new 5 year old furnace and hot water system installed by LF. We have a service contract so had the unit serviced (as we do annually) and about 36 hours later no heat and no hot water. Nobody at LF answered the phone until 9am and there was no answering service to leave a message. The woman who finally answered the phone was not really helpful - said somebody might get here that evening. I know it was October and not freezing but I told her that we were having a birthday dinner for a relative that night and had no heat or hot water - and it was probably their fault that the furnace wasn't working. I understand that we have to wait our turn - but what is going on with them? It would be helpful to be able to get someone on the phone - especially someone who was a bit more user friendly.
