Went for Thanksgiving buffet was a bit spicy and way to salty for me I have heart problems but overall never use salt I'm a garlic girl I would have loved everything more if it was garlicky instead of over salty...the price was great chooses were great loved the dark meat...we sat by boardwalk windows. Overall it was a lovely evening ☺️ 😊 ✨️
Highly recommend if you’re looking for something very filing overall good presentation, original 16 oz beer pint glasses. Shrimp excellent had a chicken wrap very good fresh cheese great quality. Place opened in March. The managers are on top of things. Place not packed we got in just before the wait. Food came fast, but wait staff seemed spread thin, large areas to cover we sat out. Very nice place this is a very modern restaurant design. I miss pops garage but this place has wonderful ambience. The wait time was improved and I think they do what they can to improve as they grow. Great
Place give them a try. Not really comfort food but all natural ingredients and chef skills show in the quality of the dishes.
First time visiting and WOW. Absolutely incredible. First off, the staff (especially our server Jason) were fantastic and super attentive. The Mimosa Tower is the proper way to start a brunch session. The corn bread with honey lavender butter is the best corn bread I've ever had. Just the right texture and flavor. Now onto the main......the "Low Country Breakfast".....every bit of perfection you can squeeze onto a plate. Biscuit and gravy, home fries, eggs and sausage patties. I am all about a good meal and they blew me away. I can't say enough good things about it!! Perfect portion, delicious, full of flavor and seasoned just right. We also had the steak and eggs, same thing. Steak was perfectly done, juicy and delicious. Absolutely returning to this place asap. A welcome addition to the Asbury culinary family. Worth a trip if you're heading out this way. 10/10 on everything.
We recently visited this restaurant during its opening weekend. The food was overall good, and I’m willing to give it another try in the future. They were understandably busier than anticipated, partly due to an event happening in Asbury. While the food quality shone through, there were some logistical challenges that need addressing, especially with the summer season approaching.
We ordered the crab dip, which was delicious and served with pork rinds and crackers for dipping. The grilled oysters, filet mignon, and shrimp and grits were also enjoyable dishes. However, the shrimp and grits did lack in seasoning and taste.
A few service hiccups stood out—the steaks were served without steak knives, and it took about 20 minutes to get one. No salt or pepper on the table to season your food. The bathrooms had run out of soap and paper towels, which made hand-washing inconvenient, and a lot of people were complaining.
Additionally, the service was slow, possibly because of the unexpected rush. A suggestion for improvement would be to station staff/host at both ends of the restaurant for greeting and seating customers, which would create a smoother experience for guests.
Overall, the food was promising, and with a bit more preparation and fine-tuning of operations, this place has the potential to be a hit, especially with the busy summer season ahead.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Palmetto! From the moment I walked in, I was struck by the beautiful atmosphere and thoughtful decor—it truly transported me. The Charleston-inspired bar added such a charming touch, giving off serious Charleston, SC vibes.
The service was exceptional—timely, friendly, and attentive without being overbearing. As for the food, the raw bar was a standout! The oysters, shrimp cocktail, and crab dip were all incredibly fresh and flavorful. We also tried the fried chicken, which was cooked to absolute perfection. The fried green tomatoes were a new dish for me, and I was so glad I gave them a try—delicious! The cacio e pepe was another highlight, rich and perfectly balanced.
To finish off the meal, we shared the chocolate cake, which was not only delicious but also generously portioned—plenty for the three of us to enjoy.
To top it all off, the cocktail service was top-tier, elevating the entire experience. If you love trying new cuisine in a stunning setting with amazing service, Palmetto is a must-visit. I can’t wait to go back!
