Patrick was awesome to work with. Helped me work through an issue I had been having with my knee for years and was able to provide guidance and a plan where other PT and doctors hadn't Thanks Patrick!
Progression Physical Therapy was my first experience with PT, but it definitely set the bar high for what to look for. I worked with Patrick for probably about two months and I made great progress. I would definitely recommend anyone to go here. Its a small business and they really take their time to work with you and provide the best care. It is one on one so you get the best value for your time and money, and get feedback on everything you work on together
One of the smartest doctors I’ve ever worked with. I always ask doctors a million questions and Dr. Patrick knows his stuff and doesn’t mind my constant curiosities. He reacts to feedback, adjust your form immediately, builds an individualized comprehensive plan, emails your exercise routine with videos, and takes meticulous progress notes. The facility is spotless. Unfortunately, an adjacent business in the plaza experienced a fire recently, so Progression PT has an alternate location for a bit. Once the Union Ave location reopens, I know it will be even better. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and professional. Owner is local to Somerville. This is a great locally-owned practice!
- [ ] I went to Pat for an evaluation of a nagging shoulder injury. We were able to get down to the core issue very quickly with Pat’s expansive knoewldge of the body and concise Q&A. In that session, Pat proved to be professional, personable, and most importantly to me, capable of not only identifying the nature of the issue, but also at presenting guidance on the various paths I can take in my recovery efforts. The experience is extremely personal, and he took the time to understand exactly my goals—both short and long-term. This is why I’ll be going to Progression PT for the duration of recovery. Pat has instilled me with the confidence that we can put in the work over the next few months and have back in a position to continue achieving my goals.
Patrick and the team at Progression were outstanding. They cared deeply about each client and made PT enjoyable with music, conversation, and creative exercises that mimicked real-life movements and sports. Rehab never felt repetitive or boring, and they kept things challenging but fun.
I came in after a serious knee injury (MCL and LCL) that left me unable to walk without a brace. Within a few months, I was strong enough to dance at my wedding and walk miles every day on my honeymoon. Later, when we discovered a full ACL tear, Patrick tailored my program again, and within weeks I regained stability and athletic movement to the point where surgery may not even be necessary.
Even when old patellar tendinitis flared up, they quickly adjusted with smart, effective exercises. Progression helped me return toward competitive-level athletics, and I saw them do the same for people of all ages and goals. I highly recommend them to anyone recovering from injury.
