Perfectly located for exploration of western NJ and all it has to offer. Tewksbury, Chester, Long Valley, Califon, and Clinton are all a convenient scenic drive without having to get on a single highway. The owner, restorer, manager, head chef, and general staffer is all one person named Bill. He's friendly knowledgeable and fascinating to talk to. This is exactly what me and my newly intended were looking for. Wish we had more time to enjoy the place. The art collection is impressive, and had we had more time we could have had a private museum level tour of each and every piece. The room was comfortable and spacious with great lighting. We truly enjoyed our (too) brief stay.
Great getaway experience. Be aware that you are staying in an old building, so it may come across as a little rough around the edges to some (such as an uneven floor). However this is one of the best "old hotels" I've ever stayed at. Great service, great room, and a nice quiet environment away from the "busy city".
Stayed here this past weekend for our wedding. We booked the entire Inn for our wedding party. Nothing less than perfect, It is a beautiful venue and the perfect choice for our wedding of about 50 guests. The Inn recommended Redwoods catering for the event and they were outstanding. Marcia at the inn helped with the marriage license. She was kind, courteous, and very professional. I am thrilled we chose the Raritan Inn for our venue. I would highly recommend it.

Brooke, the manager is an amazing host and person! She constantly checked in with me from booking til check in and even when I was lost on the way there. She made sure I was comfortable in all aspects of my visit which I very much appreciated. Everything was tidy, clean, warm and welcoming. It was such a beautiful area in general and the Inn fit the atmosphere perfectly. I honestly will be going back I loved it that much!!!
