The falafel here is outstanding, truly a treat. The combination of lamb, chicken, and other savory meats was cooked flawlessly and paired perfectly with fragrant, flavorful rice. Every dish felt carefully prepared, making the entire meal a memorable experience. I will definitely return for another incredible meal.
From the moment I walked in, I knew this place was special. The atmosphere instantly transports you straight to the heart of the Middle East — warm hospitality, cozy décor, and the aroma of fresh spices filling the air.
The food? Unreal. Every dish bursts with authentic flavor — you can tell the ingredients are fresh and the recipes come straight from tradition. The hummus is creamy and perfectly seasoned, the shawarma is juicy and packed with depth, and the falafel has that perfect crispy outside with a soft, flavorful center. Oh and the salads are AMAZING.
What really stands out, though, is how genuine the experience feels. It’s not just a meal — it’s a taste of culture, love, and pride in every bite. The staff treats you like family and makes sure you’re happy from start to finish.
If you’re craving real Middle Eastern cuisine that’s both authentic and unforgettable, this is the place. Easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
I recently dined at Sahara, and while the food was amazing, the experience could have been better. The falafel was crispy on the outside and soft inside, and the hummus was really tasty. The traditional combo platter with chicken kabab and lamb shish kabab was full of flavor and really satisfying. The Orzo soup was light and comforting, a perfect start. And the kunafa for dessert was juicy and delicious – a great way to finish the meal.
However, the wait after ordering was longer than expected, which was a bit frustrating. The ambiance was also just okay – not bad, but nothing special or overly comfortable.
the food made up for the wait and average atmosphere, and I would still recommend it for the great dishes.
I always enjoy myself when I visit Sahara, even if it’s just to stop in and grab my order.
This time I sat down and ate instead of taking it out. They didn’t disappoint.
The food was fantastic and the service was as if I was at a family member’s home. The flavors are done so well. The portion is more than enough. I had to take some home. You have to visit the brothers that operate this spot. You will not be dissatisfied nor disappointed. Be sure to get a piece of Baclava for desert. Pistachios my go to.
Get there today guys. 🙏🏽
AMAZING fresh Mediterranean dishes in Princeton!!! 🔥 I enjoyed a take-out with their large Chicken Kebob Platter, Baba Ghanoug, and freshly baked pita bread. Generous portions, delicious, and all ingredients were fresh.
I should mention, seeing the GORGEOUS interior of Sahara is worth a trip itself! 😍Glowing, cozy lights, big booths…and the decor is a blend of opulence and historic charm of the Middle East. It makes you feel like you've teleported across the globe :D
Highly recommend for a romantic date or memorable night with friends. Can’t wait to visit again and dine-in! ❤️
