SCLSNJ's Montgomery Library Branch

The Montgomery Library is a clean and homey space. They have books for all ages - thriller, comedy or fantasy, you name it. There is a large seating place with puzzles and a vending machine. Staff is kind and helpful!

The library boasts a wonderful collection, and the majority of the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, I’ve noticed a tendency to close the library prematurely, even for minor disruptions.

For example, on **July 30, 2025**, there was a power outage from **1:00 PM to 2:00 PM**. Instead of reopening after power was restored, the library remained closed for the rest of the day. If the outage disrupted operations, it would have been more reasonable to close only during the affected hours. Additionally, the library was closed for an entire day to replace furniture, which seems excessive and inconsiderate to patrons who rely on its services.

While I appreciate the library’s resources and staff, I hope future decisions about closures will prioritize the needs of the community. A more balanced approach would greatly enhance the experience for all members.

Really nice library. Small but lovely and a new playground is being installed in front of the building.

This library opened in 2022 is truly a great addition to Montgomery Township. It is equipped with all modern amenities, hi tech systems to organize books and media, swanky design, cute little play area for kids and what not! The staff is very friendly and genuinely helpful. The facility is well maintained. My kids love this place. They have little conference rooms and desks which you can book to organize your meetings. Also comes with a vending machine and coffee corner. Lot of community events take place in this building.
