I really debated leaving this review, but ultimately felt it was important to share my experience. I called on the Friday before Christmas (Christmas was Wednesday) to place an order for 8lbs of prime rib. The woman who answered the phone simply said “no.” I was surprised and repeated, “no?”. She then told me they were no longer taking catering orders, which I then clarified that I wanted to order the meat, uncooked. She quoted me $20.99/lb and told me I could pick up Tuesday. I arrived on Tuesday and my order had not been put in, so they rushed it for me while I waited. When the meat was packaged I took it to the checkout counter and saw that they cut 10lbs of meat and it was labeled as Rib Eye, at 27.99/lb. I said to the cashier that I was misquoted, and only wanted 8 lbs of prime rib, so she took the meat back to the counter and returned a moment later and said “he said it’s the same thing.” The difference between what I was quoted and planning to spend and what I was charged was approximately $125. The place was packed, I was there with my child, and I needed the meat for the next day - due to all those reasons I paid and left. All that said; the meat was very good quality, but the experience was so off-putting, and the sticker shock and dismissal by the staff really left a bad impression. I’ve been a customer for several years but really don’t want to return after this. If they had taken off the extra 2 lbs, which added $56 to my order, that would have been better. If they would’ve charged me what they quoted me that would have made this right. However the response “He said it’s the same thing” was dismissive, and the fact that they were so packed and busy made it feel like they just couldn’t be bothered (I’m not hating on them being busy before Christmas - I understand that part) is ultimately why I decided to leave this review.

If I could give more stars I would! Top notch products and customer service. I was in and out of there on 12/23 in good time. Staff was on point, friendly and knowledgeable, staff even walked an old lady out to her car and carried her groceries, smiling customers through out the store and I got rave reviews from my family on the prime rib and lobster tails. Proud to support this awesome local business!

A little above grocery store prices but you can taste the quality. Plus you know your food is locally sourced. Friendly knowledgeable staff. My family is worth the extra expense and their frequent specials save us money. The only place we purchase meat

If you are looking for made in house German style Franks this is the place for you 6/1 pork and beef NC. We cooked these on the grill they split perfectly and had the snap you want. Just had mustard on one and raw dog the other which was perfect. I recommend mustard, kraut, onions homemade chili or a quality relish. Next time on the flat top and air fried. These are right up there with the many great meat markets and pork stores in the State.
