I really like this place. I like that they're more hands off than other places and let you pick your own paints and as much as you need. To my surprise they also have pottery making and the instructor seemed really patient and have good instruction for different techniques. Also, the owner is sooo sweet and considerate. She made sure my piece was ready to give as a gift before the holidays even though it was pretty close to when I painted my item. Really appreciated that.

Late review. Covid made it hard to keep kids busy, but this was a great experience for my son. He did throwing clay, made a bowl, painting pottery, and more 👍

This place has everything for people who enjoy doing art.
During Covid, we had gotten supplies from them to host a birthday party for our daughter and needless to say, the kids really enjoyed painting. We do stop by once in a while as well. Highly recommend!

A really nice, spacious, clean studio for kids and adults to express their artistic skills. Pottery making and decorating, painting, individual and group options. We drove from NYC to meet up with family here and were really pleased with this place. Thank you!

This was truly one of the most fun and relaxing activities I’ve ever done! As a beginner, I was intimidated before going in, but the environment is so peaceful and supportive and the owner + everyone that works there are kind, helpful, and welcoming. I had many questions and they were so patient and happy to guide me. This experience is amazing for beginners and experienced artists alike, you could tell from all of the different levels of people in the studio when we went — beginner and experienced adults, a family, a children’s birthday party, and experienced people creating their own pottery. I love that so many of their options for painting were both functional and fun — I painted a teapot that I’ll be using for years and my friend painted a taco holder shaped like a llama that we can’t wait to use. This was such a unique experience to share with someone and definitely more fun than the usual “dinner and drinks”. It also just felt so much more personal and comfortable than any other art studio I’ve been to. I will definitely be back to paint more pottery and I also really want to try their wheel throwing class! Highly, highly recommend That Pottery Place for a date, group of friends, family, or even an amazing way to unwind and practice self care on your own.
