Review for The Armory, Perth Amboy NJ — Engagement Party Venue

I recently photographed an engagement party at The Armory in Perth Amboy, and it was absolutely perfect for the occasion. The waterfront views, elegant terrace, and warm evening light created a beautiful atmosphere for photos and celebration.

The staff was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout the event, making everything run smoothly. The venue’s mix of indoor and outdoor spaces allowed guests to mingle comfortably while enjoying the scenic backdrop of the marina.

If you’re planning an engagement party or small celebration in New Jersey, The Armory is a fantastic choice — stylish, spacious, and full of natural light that looks incredible in photos.

    Nice location, okay food.

Location: by the water with large parking lot! Does have a terrible smell by the water from time to time.

Food: The complimentary bread was dry and not warmed up. But the artichoke oil for the bread was delicious! Wish the bread was better! The fried calamari was over cooked and dry too. The mahi mahi in lemon sauce wasn’t fresh. The fish tasted strange but the saving grace was the Valencia seafood paella. The seafood in it was all cooked well, and it was earthy yet meaty at the same time. I would cook the rice a little longer, but overall, we like the paella.

Service: our server was nice, came around couple times to see if we needed anything. They automatically charge 20% tip.

Price: for the food. Not bad. But for the drinks, I would say, not worth it! See my photos.

    Overall: probably won’t be back.

Very nice spot.. Fast service. Drinks were delish. Went with a party of 15+ and drinks still came out fast. Expect to spend $50-100 per person. Nice atmosphere. Definitely a place to make reservations for and you can do parties or event there. I would definitely go again. Good for couples or more.

Great spot for a night out! The view is nice, great food and service. I have been here couple times and high level service is their standard.
Lately I had the All you can eat barbecue and the paella.
    Both are great options

I love coming here! amazing food, amazing drinks, and amazing bartenders. i usually go to my favorite bartender Jorge. He makes the best drinks, super courteous, and very attentive. Everyone there is a vibe and so pleasant to be around! after enjoying dinner and drinks, they have the perfect view for nice pictures by the water/pier or simply for a little stroll to enjoy the night views. Definitely recommend this place for date nights, girls nights, even just a solo night out. You'll always have a wonderful night .🖤🍸
