Dr Bailey, thank you for saving my teeth!
For anyone who experienced tooth pain and may be rushed into making a wrong decision here is my story, which in my case ended so far so well, thanks to Dr Bailey in his Cold Spring Dentistry office for his assistance.
I am not going name the names of the other doctors who were pressuring me to have A GENERAL ANESTHESIA for SURGERY TO COMPLETELY REMOVE MY TWO CHEWING TEETH!!! I am hoping they will learn from their mistakes and fix this problem. But I am sending this letter to those dental offices to notify them that their rush decisions could have caused me a lot of pain and money and I am not going be silent about it for my sake and other patients who could experience such negligence!
When I came to the dentist office in Fishkill I was in terrible pain and was recovering from a bee sting and allergic reaction.
I explained that I felt there was a gap in between my molars that was causing me tremendous pain particularly when I was chewing food. I was examined while in pain and was told that I needed to have my bottom right molars extracted.
I asked to fix the cavity but was told that it’s too big to fix.
The dentist did not prescribe me anything for my pain and did not try to fix the cavity instead I was told that a root canal or even complete removal of both teeth is the only way.
I was sent that day to an oral surgeon an hour away from my home!
I was scheduled for the extractions under general anaesthetic. I was never was given any written notice, no written explanation why such drastic measures were needed and never was asked about my general medical history which is very complicated and I take different medications for a long time! I felt that both dentist and surgeon rushed me and my husband to get the extraction rather than offering other solutions.
I was extremely concerned to remove both my molars - basically mutilating my teeth, making it difficult to eat and after this I would need a prosthetic to be created to replace the missing teeth.
Thank God for Dr. Bailey who listened to my concerns and did a complete exam.
Based on his exam and review of my previous x-rays he was sure he could fix the cavity and the other molar did not show any worsened condition.
He was able to fix the cavity and he prescribed a mouthwash for the pain I was having.
And it helped!!!
I am thankful to God that I listened to my intuition and sought a second opinion.
I am so glad that Dr Bailey did not rush me to removing healthy teeth but instead fixed the problem quickly and that preserved my teeth and eased my pain.

Dr. Bailey is just a GREAT DENTIST!
Dr. Bailey is very kind and understanding. He will talk to you while he is performing the procedure that he has explained to you before he starts to work on you.
Dr. Bailey has a very calming energy about him that always puts me at ease.
Dr. Bailey went above and beyond to make sure I was 100% happy with the composite bonding he had done. He thoroughly explained each step throughout the process and frequently made sure I was comfortable. It’s clear he is very passionate about what he does and I am very happy with the care I received. Thank you Dr. Bailey!
Let me start off by saying, "I hate going to the dentist", I have a serious phobia of being in the dentist chair. I had my first visit with Dr. Bailey and was doubly terrified as I had never been there before and didn't know what kind of Dr. or staff I would encounter. Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly as I was shown to a room where they took x-rays. Once I explained to the nurse my concerns she assured me that the Dr would take very good care of me. That was an understatement. When Dr. Bailey came in he started to talk to me and let me know exactly what kind of personal service I would be receiving and how he would make sure I was comfortable and he would do anything he could to make me feel better. I think he spoke to me for a good 40 min before he did any work on my broken tooth. For the first time ever sitting in the dentist chair I felt no pain. He communicated with me the entire time and was constantly asking if I was OK. Dr. Bailey went over and above to make sure I was comfortable and felt well taken care of. I have a follow up apt in a few weeks for a filling and for the first time ever in my life I am not having anxiety about returning to the dentist. I am so glad I found him!!
