I am beyond grateful to Susanna and Melissa for the incredible support they gave me throughout my pregnancy and the birth of my daughter. When my birth didn’t go as planned, their steady guidance and encouragement became even more invaluable. Susanna was by my side every step of the way by offering reassurance through texts and calls during labor, and ultimately being there in person when my daughter arrived. Thanks to their care and presence, I was able to have a truly positive and empowering birth experience. Additionally, their support postpartum helped me become more comfortable with breastfeeding positions and baby wearing! I would highly recommend Birthside Doulas.

Birthside doulas were amazing to work with. I felt heard and seen. Suzanne and Melissa were great advocates. During my pregnancy in October 2022 they were always available. From the moment I went into labor they were our first call. Melissa met my husband and I at our hospital and as soon as she came I to the room she knew exactly how to make the process easier. I can say my labor experience was smoother once she helped me with positioning and created a calm environment for the rest of the labor. Im so grateful for their training sessions and for being there when we needed them the most. Highly recommend and looking forward to using them again.

After the birth of my son, I have such a newfound, profound respect and appreciation for the work of a skilled doula. From the moment I called Birthside Doulas as my labor commenced, Susanna supported me the whole way. The physical support to keep me going through positioning, making sure I sustained myself with food and drinks, offering bodywork for pain relief, guiding the dance of incorporating my husband to be an active participant in the process. Above all, the consistent presence and reassurance in times of doubt, as well as joy. I'm grateful for the birth of my dreams in the comfort of my home because of my awesome support system. As a labor and delivery nurse, I aspire to support my patients in the way Susanna held space for me.
I also had the pleasure of working with Melissa in the meetings prior to Kai's birth. These informative meetings prepped me for both birth and postpartum. Melissa's grounded, light-hearted demeanor empowered me to envision the best while preparing for all possibilities of birth. I hope to have the opportunity to work with these women again someday.

Birthside doulas, Susanna and Melissa, are absolutely amazing. They supported me and my husband throughout my pregnancy with information, helpful tips and tricks, and love and support. When my birth did not go as planned, both were a calming voice that I needed. Susanna was at the hospital the next day offering to bring us food, support my breast feeding/pumping with my baby in the NICU and helping my leg swelling to go down. Her postpartum visits were crucial in easing our transition home, making sure I was rested, well nourished, and emotionally supported. Both have continued to be there for us 2 months later and we are so grateful that we went with them!

Birthside Doulas was recommended to me by my midwives and I couldn't have been happier to work with Melissa and Susanna throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Even though it was my 3rd baby, they still provided with me new information and much needed emotional support when I went 9 days past my due date. Melissa was exceptional during my home birth - she created such a peaceful and calm vibe, and knew exactly what I needed to hear to get through transition and pushing.
