Dr.Jonathan markowitz is an amazing doctor who goes over and above his care both prior to surgery and post surgery, he addressed all concerns and I would highly recommend him for any spine,back issues. Excellent surgeon and group.
From the moment I met Dr. Markowitz he put me at ease, he was very personable and patient. He encouraged many questions and asked about my concerns. He patiently went over the surgical plan and once again encouraged, not only myself, but my wife to ask questions and share our concerns. On the day of the surgery he had a surgical team member call my wife when the first part of the procedure was complete with an update. Definitely not required but greatly appreciated and never experienced by us during past surgeries. His postop follow up was just as considerate and kind. I personally feel many should follow Dr. Markowitz's demeanor and respect toward his patients. He went above and beyond the expectations for a surgeon and I will recommend Orlin & Cohen, specifically Dr. Jonathan Markowitz, to anyone needing an orthopedic doctor.
Very knowledgeable and personable. Saw the amount of pain I was in and made sure to find a way to get me in for surgery. Talked to me and explained the process without talking down to me, and made sure I was doing well even outside of the next day/post op appointments. I highly recommend Dr Markowitz if you have back issues.
We met Dr. Markowitz for my husband's fifth spine surgery consultation. Dr. Markowitz had patience, was kind, and made sure we were all at ease with the surgical plan. Dr. Markowitz even called us after hours to review the plan, answer our questions and make sure we were comfortable. His speciality is microsurgery; it cut his recovery time in half. Less than 24 hours after surgery my husband is now home! I am most appreciative of the fact that half way through a six hour surgery, Dr. Markowitz had his team call me with an update. I highly recommend anyone facing spine surgery to meet with Dr. Markowitz.
Dr. Markowitz is the best! He has changed my life for the better with his surgical expertise, as well as his knowledge. From my first appointment with him, I felt heard and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone :)
