I have been in Gary's class for over two years. First and foremost, Gary made me feel comfortable immediately. He also saw a natural ability in me. That, in turn, gave me confidence in my own voice and ability which was sorely lacking. He said, "Yes, there is definitely a singer in there!". It wasn't just his words, it was clear that Gary was being authentic. When I struggled with notes, he worked with me in a way that put me at ease and allowed me to persevere and improve. Most importantly, he gave me the confidence and support I needed to do open mics (shortly after starting lessons). This was new for me and I love it! Gary organizes open mics a few times a year, in order get his students out there sooner rather than later. I highly recommend Gary Broderson if you are a singer or a musician.
Gary Broderson is an excellent music teacher! He instills a love of music in his students. He inspires them to listen to a wide range of music, improvise, and be creative. My son takes percussion lessons with Gary and has made incredible progress. He loves practicing because Gary makes it fun and relevant!
Gary is a great piano teacher. I took lessons with him as a kid and went back to take lessons as an adult when I wanted to learn jazz.
Gary is an absolutely phenomenal piano teacher! My son has been taking lessons with him for over three years, and the progress he’s made is incredible. Gary is not only highly knowledgeable about music theory and technique, but he’s also patient, encouraging, and truly passionate about teaching.
What sets Gary apart is his ability to inspire creativity in his students. He doesn’t just teach notes and scales—he helps my son understand the emotion behind the music and even encourages him to compose his own melodies. Every lesson is engaging, fun, and tailored to my son’s learning style.
Gary’s kindness and dedication make him more than just a teacher—he’s a mentor who genuinely cares about his students’ growth. My son always looks forward to his lessons, and I couldn’t be happier with the skills and confidence he’s gained.
If you’re looking for a talented, patient, and inspiring piano teacher, Gary is the best choice! Highly recommend! 🎹🎶
Gary has been an incredible teacher and mentor for my son, Burton. Under his guidance, Burton has not only grown more confident at the piano, but has also started composing his own original pieces! Something I never expected to happen so soon! Gary has a gift for recognizing each child’s unique musical spark and nurturing it with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Recently, he even began working with my daughter Juniper, who plays clarinet, helping the two of them develop a duet. Gary went the extra mile to write out the music so Juniper could play alongside her brother. It’s been such a joy to see their collaboration unfold, and it wouldn’t be possible without Gary’s encouragement and dedication.
We’re so grateful to have him as part of our musical journey. Highly recommended for any family looking to inspire a lifelong love of music!
