Owners Gary and Jeff are terrific. Personable and extremely knowledgeable. I've been bringing my lawn mower and snow blower to them for years and never had a problem; in fact, my neighbors often borrow them as they don't maintain their own equipment and theirs breaks. Case in point, today my neighbor borrowed my snowblower to finish his driveway and another neighbor's.
Stay away from the big chains and support this local business. Highly recommend.
The shopping experience here is great; far better than the big box stores. Not only are you greeted personally when you come in but for a small store they have an amazing inventory. Not only are they fully stocked with inventory but if you have problem to fix and have not been able to figure out a solution the owners often can make a suggestion that enables you to fix the issue. Centereach True Value Hardware is a true, shall I say old school, (think Agnew and Taylor), type neighborhood hardware store that does it all and has it all. Have you ever gone to Home Depot and try to find specific nuts, bolts, fasteners, weather stripping, plumbing drains, couplings, tools, various parts etc. and lost your mind with no help in site? At Centereach True Value Hardware there are 2 very knowledgeable owners that greet you when you walk in; you show or tell them what you want, and they take you to the proper aisle and they find what you are looking for. They fix screens, sell lawn equipment and fertilizers, have a paint department, tools, weather stripping,in ground sprinkler parts and seriously much much more. Notably, they're prices are super competitive to any big box stores without the hassle. But more importantly, you walk in greeted by gentlemen, and you walk out with your purchase as a dignified and satisfied customer. Do yourself a favor and shop at this store..it is one of the last of it's kind!!
Needed a bunch of screens fixed, dropped them off Friday at lunch and they were ready less than 24 hours later. They did a great job and charged a fair price, will definitely be back!
This is an Excellent store for all your needs and every employee there are filled with knowledge and helps you get the best products for your needs I bought a Stihl edger and it performed too well I recommend buying from them also having them service your equipment you use, I will definitely be purchasing a new weed wacker from them soon stihl of course.
