He is an excellent doctor you can have dialigue with him about just anything he is supportive and honest he tells you just what can happen and can't happen
As a health care provider of 37 years, I have high expectations. Dr. Amen and the staff of his Shirley office exceeded my expectations. They provided a great experience. I entered the office with pain that I have had for years, and left the office pain free and feeling like there is someone really looking at me for the first time. Thank you Dr. Amen!
Dr amen diagnosed and treated my pain in my arm I had for over a year with a stimulator that worked immediately. he spent a lot of time with me to find out exactly what was going on with my arm and ask a lot of questions. I had the procedure done in at the hospital, which was a pleasant experience there. Also nurses and everybody was so accommodating and nice. I would highly recommend Doctor Amen .
Dr. Amen performed 6 nerve ablations on my back and he did an amazing job! He did the best he could to make it as painless as possible. I definitely would recommend him to anyone looking for pain relief!
I left a review last year that has been removed for some reason. So here I am again! This spicy mama is quite annoyed because Dr. Amen changed my life. We have many options for pain management specialists in our area and as a community heavily rely on these reviews when seeking care. Especially around complicated pain issues.
I am an artist and unable to use my dominant arm/hand without crippling pain since an injury in 2007. 15 years of not being able to create while parenting a child with a significant disability. It took many years to find someone knowledgeable and willing to get to the root of my issues. Dr Amen actually cares about his patients quality of life. It isn't a revolving door experience like other practitioners I have worked with. Wait times may be lengthy but it is because he takes his time with each of us.
Since working with Dr. Amen my pain has been completely managed without opiates (something I never expected was possible). His referrals for PT, Ortho, and imaging have been on point. My team now is effective, comprehensive and cohesive. Where I used to struggle with pain levels of 7-9 depending on the day, I average a 1-2 daily thanks to him.
I am able to create, write, play with my kiddo, do normal chores without crippling pain. Dr Amen is aptly named because honestly thank god for him. Can I get an AMEN?! Jokes aside, thank you so much for giving me my arm back.
(Google.. I am a real human being and would appreciate being contacted if you decide to remove reviews I put time and effort into. This was extremely unprofessional and not what I expected from a company I am so fond of.)
