Corazon De Cuba Taqueria

My boyfriend and I became regulars here over the summer on Taco Tuesday and continue to return regularly through the winter. We just ordered a couple entrees for pick up, my boyfriend said “these are three of the best tacos I’ve had in my life!” I am consistently impressed every single time I get their amazing food especially for such great deals like Taco Tuesday. The chorizo and grandma carnitas tacos are so simple yet so good!

The food here is delicious. I had a coconut shrimp taco and a sweet potato taco. There are many vegetarian and vegan options. I definitely plan to return to this MEXICAN restaurant. I’ve been to Cuba and it didn’t feel in any way Cuban. Tacos and tequila are rather famously Mexican. A large self portrait of noted Mexican artist Frida Kahlo was prominently displayed. There was no Cuban music. Also, possibly due to the use of a wide angle lens, this place barely resembles the photos on the website. But the portions were adequate and the prices within reason.

The most delicious crispy CARNITAS ever! (Just be sure to ask for them crispy.) Every street taco is fantastic and the nachos with carnitas - chef’s kiss. This is a the most welcoming family-run business and they actually make all of their margaritas from scratch. So good… and believe me, the mango frozen margarita goes down way too easy. Did I mention they make their chips and churros fresh too!! INSANE. It’s a cozy venue so be sure to get there early to grab your seat at the bar or outside if it’s warm. Prices are VERY reasonable and the portions are generous. Truly a Long Beach must eat. BETTER THAN 5 STARS.

The food surpassed our expectations. We ordered the burrito bowl with cárnitas and the pork was great because it wasnt oily and it didnt have the extra fat on it. We also got the alambre tacos (one of their specialties) and it was so good! Ive lived and tried so much food in Mexico and this was the best Alambre ive had because the steak was perfectly cooked and the onions were so tasty. The service was quick and the drinks were also great. My wife got the passion fruit lemonade (non alcoholic) and I got a Watermelon Margarita. Both were delicious. Will be back!! In regards to covid regulations, there is a lot of outdoor seating!
