Dharma Drum Retreat Center

Have been here many years for meditation retreats, I benefited greatly. It's located in a very accessible location by driving while it's also quite and beautiful. The meditation retreats are well organized and good for people of all levels. The accommodation is modest but comfortable. And the vegetarian food is delicious and nourishing!

DDRC is the most wonderful place to practice meditation and the Buddha's teachings. Everyone is so welcoming and kind, and you truly feel at ease when walking the grounds or eating a meal. The resident monastics are very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions you may have. This place is truly special and it stands out among other buddhist retreat centers in the area. 🙏

This place felt like home, for your soul. I went on a retreat in the summer, and it was one of the best experiences I've had in the past 10 years. I meditated, met nice people, and explored the beautiful retreat center. Every day I see deers roaming around freely, and the resident monks feeding humming birds and chipmunks. At the end of the retreat, I felt genuine joy. Whether or not you are Buddhist, I recommend going on a retreat at the Dharma Drum Retreat Center for an escape from the modern way of life.

I attended a three day retreat called “Stillness in Motion”and it was definitely a life changing experience. It’s great to find that we share so much things in common. We also got chance to ask Fashi questions individually and I learned a lot from it. I’m very grateful and looking forward to go back.

The Dharma Drum centre is such a tranquil and calm environment, filled with the loveliest teachers and volunteers.
I stayed last weekend for two 1 day silent retreats and can say I will 100% be going back!
I left feeling relieved, empowered, relaxed, inspired and totally satisfied with my weekend away.
Love the centre and all the beautiful people involved! Can't recommend it enough
