Very casual spot, but the lobster roll is the best I’ve had on Long Island! And much more affordable than the hamptons. DJ’s always manages to stuff so much lobster in and i always finish my meal super full. The hot lobster with butter is my favorite, and their fries are so crisp. Their Cajun sauce is delicious (you have to ask for it extra), and their other dishes are great too - the fish tacos and fried fish. Highly recommend!

Tonight, I ordered the lobster roll via Uber Eats, it tasted pretty good, but my stomach did not agree afterwards.

Given that I spent $33 on my order, and another $14 on taxes and fees for Uber Eats, I was expecting for a fantastic dinner. As I opened the box, I was unfortunately disappointed by the small portions relative to the high price, and even more devastated by the way it made my stomach feel afterwards. I will say though, the food tasted good, and I enjoyed the 10 minutes of gobbling down the lobster roll. However, the hour that followed was incredibly painful, so much so that I could not finish the sweet potato fries (which I thought were alright, but not my type).

So after a drained wallet and a stomach in shambles, I will say this was not my favorite take out experience.

    A Must-Visit on Long Island!

DJ’s Clam Shack is the kind of spot you dream about finding — a true hidden gem that combines incredible food with genuine, family-owned charm. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the heart and soul that’s gone into this place. The staff is warm, welcoming, and clearly proud of what they do — and rightfully so.

Let’s talk food: the lobster rolls are phenomenal — buttery, loaded with fresh lobster. The clam chowder is equally unforgettable — rich, creamy, and packed with flavor in every spoonful.

Whether you’re a local or just passing through Long Island, this place is 100% worth the stop.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a smile and excellent customer service.

I highly recommend their lobster roll and clam chowder, because they were so fresh and full of flavor.

    Thanks for the hospitality!

Food was excellent. Paige, the server was so bubbly and terrific. Place was clean and cute. Coleslaw had the perfect amount of mayonnaise. Nothing was greasy and prices were very fair. Even down to the toasted buttered roll, you can tell that the food was prepared with care. We loved the meal.
