It’s relaxing, peaceful, has a beautiful garden to sit outside in the front and in the back. Easy to walk to downtown Port Jefferson, only takes a couple of minutes. You will not regret choosing their Airbnb.

My wife and I recently concluded a delightful seven-night stay at the Falaena House Inn while visiting family on Long Island this July. Red and Mark exemplify the ideal hosts one rarely has the fortune to encounter. We had the distinct pleasure of experiencing their Inn firsthand, and it was truly as wonderful as a dream, yet wonderfully real.
They are remarkably respectful, genuinely interested, and attentively anticipate their guests' needs, always striving to enhance your time in their beautiful home. It quickly becomes evident, through every detail and conversation, the immense pride they take in the exceptional experience they have curated in Port Jefferson. What's more, they possess a unique ability to make you feel like an integral part of their story, even if you feel undeserving of such an honor.
Each breakfast was consistently perfect, and the thoughtful, special touches they provide for their guests are truly unparalleled. We sincerely hope to be fortunate enough to return as their guests for many years to come – perhaps a week at a time, here and there! Our deepest gratitude to Red and Mark.

Red and Mark are two heartwarming people, with hospitality in their DNA. They are expert local guides to Port Jeff and to entire Long Island. They manage the Falaena House Inn, their home, with love and cure and great attention to detail. They go above and beyond for their guests’ comfort, and they make it all look effortless. They have turned the Falaena House and the surrounding lush garden with bunnies and birds into a magical place, with a soothing and relaxing atmosphere. The house is a historic gem which they have uniquely, skillfully and tastefully renovated and decorated. Plus it is spotlessly clean! Every detail is well thought and every moment in the Falaena House with Red and Mark are truly inspiring. Mattresses and beddings are very comfortable, and the breakfast is fresh and tasty topped up with great conversations with the hosts. Fully recommended with the disclaimer that you might not want to leave!
Port Jeff is a picturesque, clean and friendly seaside town, with just the right amount and selection of services, and you don’t need a car to explore it. Falaena House Inn is situated strategically a stone's throw away from the harbor, the beach park and the town. Big recommendation for the Farmers Market on Sundays.

I want to keep Falaena House Inn a secret because I’m afraid I’ll never get a reservation once word is out! As soon as we stepped onto the porch we felt our stress leave us. Everything about Falaena House is welcoming. The hosts, Red and Mark, thought of everything that could make a stay perfect. While they live on site, you have privacy but if you need anything, they are available. The location is an easy walk into Port Jefferson.
