Forte Piano Studio

Despite only taking lessons at Forte Piano Studio for 3 years, I can attest that the quality here is unmatched. They have an incredibly personalized and specific curriculum that has improved my piano playing more than I ever thought would be possible in 3 years. Jesse has not only been an amazing teacher, but has been an insightful and unbelievably helpful mentor as I go out into the musical world on my own. I cannot speak for Akiko personally, but her students always give jaw-droppingly impressive performances at the recitals, so I have to imagine she is a fantastic teacher. I will always cherish the memories I made at Forte Piano Studio these past 3 years, and will use everything I was taught for likely my whole musical career! Thank you so much!!

I have been attending FortePiano Studio for the past seven years. During this time, Ms. Akiko and Mr. Jesse have not only taught me how to play the piano, but the proper techniques in which to do so. FortePiano Studio has also taught me to be more responsible and disciplined, which are invaluable life skills. All students attending FortePiano Studio will find Ms. Akiko and Mr. Jesse to be excellent teachers by making lessons enjoyable and being remarkably patient. As a current student, I highly recommend FortePiano studio to any aspiring pianists.

Akiko taught all three of my kids piano lessons as they were growing up. Although they had all taken lessons for years before we switched to Forte Piano studio they learned so many new things and grew astronomically under Akiko. She helped them advance their abilities beyond my expectations, and was so supportive of their individual goals. I never imagined that they would each be able to memorize and perform a full piano concerto, but Akiko gave them everything they needed to reach that goal and even learned the accompaniment to perform with them during recitals. She has given my kids an appreciation and love of piano that they will carry with them for a lifetime. Thank you Akiko for everything over the years!

We are so thrilled to have Jesse as our son's piano teacher. He is thriving - Jesse brings an ease and joy to his practice, focuses on his interests, teaches theory and improvisation, and allows him to grow in a way that use a y right for him. Forte Piano's recitals are so much fun to attend, the studio is filled with students who really love to play!

Both of our children love Akiko and Jesse! They've been taking lessons from them for several years now---classical and jazz. By the good fortune of the gods, Beacon has been blessed with their piano studio. They bring a vast knowledge of musical traditions to their lessons, as well as patience, enthusiasm, and a lifetime of performing experience, while making learning the piano fun and exciting.
