George Kakoulides, MD

Dr. Kakoulides did a spinal fusion on me two years ago and changed the quality of my life in a very positive way. He is very honest, didn’t make any promises but did say he will do everything he can to help my spondylitis, fractured vertebrae and the list goes on. He corrected a laminectomy that I had done years prior. I am now so much better than I have been in over 10 years. He explains everything In detail has wonderful bedside manners. He is 10/10 as a neurosurgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Kakoulides and would only go back to him If I ever needed surgery again. I am very grateful for him. Thank you Dr. K !!

Absolutely outstanding care from start to finish.
I went to Dr. George Kakoulides for a diagnosis after struggling with severe sciatic pain from a herniated disc, and I couldn’t be more grateful for his expertise. He took the time to really listen, explain what was going on, and walk me through my options.

Instead of jumping straight to surgery, he guided me toward the right pain treatments and made sure I understood every step. Thanks to his approach, my pain has improved significantly, and I finally feel like I’m on the right track.

I can’t say enough good things about my visit with Dr. George Kakoulides. From the moment he walked into the room, he made me feel heard, understood, and fully informed. He took the time to explain my diagnosis in detail, what’s causing my symptoms, and what treatment options exist now — including the possibility of surgery down the road if I eventually need it.

What truly impressed me was how clear and structured he made the plan. Rather than rushing to surgery, he outlined several conservative option we could try first. He referred me to both pain management and physical therapy, and his staff had both appointments scheduled for me within an hour of me leaving his office. I’ve never experienced that kind of coordinated care anywhere else.

I had originally assumed I’d need to travel into the city for superior spine care, but I am so grateful a friend from the gym referred me to Dr. Kakoulides. He is compassionate and incredibly thorough. Long Island is lucky to have him.

I would recommend him to absolutely anyone dealing with back issues!

God heard my prayers when I met Dr K. He has given me a Hope that I never had with anyone else anywhere else. If you feel like all is lost please come and see him. He’s amazing.
