Dr. McCormick is an awesome doctor. I went to see him after many failed attempts at relief for herniated disks, sciatica and back pain. He was caring and compassionate. He went over all options with me and viewed surgery as a last option. Needless to say I did have surgery with him and am happy to say i can walk again pain free. Thank you Dr. McCormick, and the staff is pleasant.
I am so grateful to be a patient of Dr. McCormick. He performed emergency surgeries on me twice in the past 5 years. The first was an L5/S1 laminectomy and discectomy, the second was a C6/C7 anterior cervical discectomy and fusion. For both surgeries, my recovery time was very quick and my scarring is very minimal.
Every appointment I have had with Dr. McCormick has been stress free. Dr. McCormick is always punctual and professional. My wait times have always been under 5 minutes. I tend to ask a lot of questions in my visits and Dr. McCormick took the time to answer all of them. I never felt rushed. During my recoveries, Dr. McCormick personally called me a few times to see how my recovery was going which in many ways reassured that I chose the right Doctor.
Dr. McCormick is the type of Doctor that will go above and beyond to meet his patients needs. For my second emergency surgery, Dr. McCormick was not the Doctor on call. He changed his plans on a Saturday at the last moment to help me. As I said earlier, this made me feel stress free.
I have recommended Dr. McCormick to others that have been in need of a highly effective Neurosurgeon and I will continue to do so. Thank you Dr. McCormick!
I would like to first thank Dr. McCormick and the staff at long Island brain and spine, Dr. Sharma at pain management and their staff also. I was involved in a big accident, got hit by a tractor trailer which caused major issues on my back but mainly on my lower back. The pain was at the lower back and would go down to my feet. The pain I was having was so extreme that it would make me cry and throw up sometimes and i also had weakness on the left leg. I was recommended to see Dr. McCormick and after several x-rays, mri's, nerve block injections, and nerve ablations we decided that surgery was the only other option. He did a fusion to L5 L4 to S1. After surgery he would come into the room to make sure everything was okay and I'm just so glad that he did the surgery because I feel so much better now. The pain is almost gone completely. Recovery takes some time but you just have to be patient.
Dr McCormick is a wonderful, caring Dr. His staff fit me in for an Emergency consult. I was having paralysis in extremitie . Within 3 minutes of seeing me. He had me at radiology getting MRI'S within 24 hours he made sure I was admitted to the hospital. I felt like I was being treated like a human being. He made sure I was comfortable. My surgery was explained in detail to both me and my Husband. I woke up with no paralysis. This wonderful Dr. gave me my life back. I would and have recommended him to anybody. Thank you Dr William McCormick..
My first appointment with Dr. McCormick was amazing he was very good and already reviewed my scans prior to my appointment...he set up a treatment plan which I believe I will have a great outcome for my neck and lower back..Thank you so much
