My daughter and husband are students of the Hong Ik Dojang and we have finally found our family. Daniela is attentive and professional. She’s super kind and knowledgeable, explaining all the necessary information for belt promotions. Master Oh is skillful as he is professional. He is bar none the best I’ve ever seen with children. It is wonderful to witness how much students enjoy the lessons. The SUSA team works diligently to support and encourage students to perform at their best. Respect is a core value in the class, and it is heartening to see it consistently demonstrated by everyone. I take great pleasure in being part of the SUSA program and assisting students. It is rewarding to observe the positive impact each class has on all participants.

When I first joined, I was quite apprehensive about how different the teachings might be. However, Master Oh seamlessly incorporates elements that are beneficial for both lower belt ranks and higher belt ranks. He challenges all his students and inspires them to embrace these challenges with enthusiasm. I greatly enjoy his classes and would wholeheartedly recommend this school to anyone seeking a quality martial arts education.

Our 5-year-old daughter joined a year ago and has fallen in love with the classes, eagerly anticipating each session. The welcoming atmosphere and kind staff have made her feel right at home. Inspired by her enthusiasm, my wife encouraged me to join despite my initial hesitation at 52 years old. Now, three months in, I'm fully committed and can't imagine missing a class.

Hong Ik Martial Arts has become a second home for our family. The positive energy, dedication to tradition, and outstanding instruction have made it an invaluable part of our lives. My wife is even planning to join soon, completing our family's journey into the world of taekwondo at this remarkable school.

Hong Ik Martial Arts is home! I had joined pretty late in high school to get some physical activity in and it became a passion. All the masters and instructors are amazing at what they do and are so friendly and welcoming while doing it. Everyone has a fun time training and gains positive values for life as they do it. You can really say that you get a good sweat at this dojang! HIMA is a big family, every student and instructors feel at home!!

Recently we had our 11th annual festival welcoming all our 6 schools and schools ftom states around to participate in such a big event. Students did form and board breaks, individually or team, and sparring. It was a great showing as you can really see the big family that was built at Hong Ik! Trophies and Medals, hugs and smiles were seen all over the gym definitely showing how close knit the school is :) I definitely recommend Hong Ik if you are looking for tkd training and another family!!

I joined in 2021 as a hobby, which quickly became a passion thanks to Master Oh's inspiring leadership and encouragement. The supportive community and focus on personal growth have profoundly impacted my life and I hope many come to experience this for themselves too.
