I rarely leave reviews, but this family run shop is great! I needed a torque converter for my bmw transmission and found their site from a recommendation on a bmw forum. I called and talked to Kathy who put me on to her brother Donald and knew from speaking to him I was at the right place. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Got me set up with the part I needed and was very helpful and responsive with any questions I had. From ordering, shipping, and to tech support you won’t find a better place.
Ordering my 6L80 was incredibly easy. I just sent in my VIN, and the transmission arrived pre-programmed—no dealer visit needed. Shipping and core return were smooth and hassle-free. Installation went perfectly, and I had the truck back on the road the same day.
After failed attempts to completely alleviate the hard shifts by just changing the fluid and a couple solenoids, we found Direct Transmission. We had our valve body shipped to John and got it back promptly. It worked beautifully, finally. Shifts like butter and is likely fixed better then OEM on our first gen Cayenne. Just what it needed.
I was looking for a valve body with programmed TCM for my 2009 Nissan xterra. I found several companies who had those in stocks, however none of them came with programmed TCM, ready to install except at JKGJ Transmission. Without Programmed TCM it would have had to be professionally install by a mechanic with the proper software. My husband was a mechanic and could install this part but without software we couldn't finish the install. Fortunately, this part from JKGJ was programmed and we save $$$$ by avoid having to go through mechanic shop. The price was same and even lower than other places that had unprogrammed valve body.
I received my part pretty fast and well packaged. Installation was pretty straight forward and they even gave us the steps for the re-learn process.
That valve body comes with a year warranty so I'm pretty happy. Car is back running. I had some questions that were quickly answered by John.
