Great food. Genuine Korean taste! Parking is available at Zion Episcopal Church on Church St & Orient Ave.
Ive only been here once, but I loved it so much! It seems more like family or group restaurant than one for just dining alone, but I greatly enjoyed the kimchi tasting they had. It was very good for just $10, with unlimited rice and noodles. The staff was very friendly, and the service was wonderful. I will be coming back soon!
The service was over the top great. The extremely friendly waitress doted on my toddler like he was her grandson, even feeding him! I’ve never had that happen in any restaurant ever.
The food was also delicious. I appreciated the great variety of kimchi and other banchan.
Feels like I'm having a meal at my Korean aunt's house down to the white lace tablecloth under a protective plastic coating!! You get unlimited rice, noodles, soup of the day and kimchi for $10, or you can order an entree and have all of that included in the entree price. Excellent quality and value! It's communal table seating :)
K Kimchi
Kumkangsan was not just a kimchi store but also a historic restaurant established in 1992 in Flushing. The owner successfully managed multiple locations in Manhattan and Flushing, a testament to its popularity and quality. Sadly, the restaurant had to close its doors during the pandemic. Known for its great kimchi and authentic Korean dishes, Kumkangsan was more than a dining spot—it was a cherished part of the community’s cultural and culinary fabric.
