My husband and I love this cozy little family-run Greek restaurant, and it’s quickly become one of our go-to places for authentic, delicious food. From the moment we walk in, the warm welcome from the staff makes you feel like family.
The food is outstanding, everything tastes incredibly fresh and made with care. The Greek salad is a highlight too—crisp vegetables, juicy tomatoes, high-quality feta, and olives that burst with flavor. No skimping on portions, and every bite felt vibrant and authentic, like a quick trip to the Mediterranean. The fish dishes are delicious and melt in your mouth.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the staff. They’re genuinely friendly, and attentive without hovering. John, the owner stopped by our table to ask how everything was and shared a quick story about life and family. It’s that personal touch that makes dining here feel special.
If you’re craving real Greek food that’s fresh, flavorful, and served with heart, do yourself a favor and visit this gem in Monroe! Five stars without hesitation! 🇬🇷
I had a lovely, delicious meal at Kavos. It is a warm, welcoming environment with excellent service. The food was phenomenal. Everything was fresh and delicious. I highly recommend the dips!
Food was delicious! We ate in with our toddler, and the staff was really friendly and accommodating. We started with the dip sampler and I had the Kavos Souvlaki—honestly one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while.
A few highlights:
• Food was super fresh
• The pita was warm, soft, and practically melted in your mouth
• The pita-to-food ratio was perfect (as a big bread person, I really appreciated not having to ask for extra!)
The only downside was that the baklava seemed store-bought, but everything else was fantastic—great portions, great service, and overall a wonderful experience.
Our first visit to this establishment. Based on previous reviews, I concur. The food, service and atmosphere is very good. Plates this evening were fried zucchini, Greek Wrap, Vegetable Platter and Brook Trout. If you like Greek or Mediteranean type food, you must try Kavos. I believe you will enjoy.
The food is delicious the times I have been there. The lamb chops are amazing. But the last time I was there I had the Kavos feta appetizer and it was very salty, even with the honey they put on top. Also, the Keftedakia, meat balls with a feta dip, that too was very salty. I had those appetizer before and they were not as salty. Not sure why they were so salty this time. For the most part, the food is great. The fried calamari were delicious!!
