This team of medical personnel cares about the work they do and the program helps build confidence within the patient while helping them return to the "normalcy" of the pre cardiac event.
    Thank you all !

It was the end of November 2022 when I began my rehab therapy in the Griffin Health Cardiology and Heart Care program. I was recovering from three stents that had been implanted in my Widow Maker (LAD) artery the end of October 2022. Now, a little over one year from my rehab start date, I am happy to report that one of my teammates on the Massaro Community Farm MelonHeads bike team and I completed the full 82 mile Farmington Canal Bike trail ride from New Haven to Northampton, MA on November 16, 2023.

Accomplishing that physical challenge had been on my Bucket List for over fifteen years. Thanks to the supportive, professional care that the Griffin team provided, I was able to build back both my physical stamina and my will power to attempt and finish such a ride.

We averaged 13.5 mph for 82 miles, completing the ride in six hours and four minutes. The weather started off cold (36 degrees F) when we left Science Park, New Haven. However, it warmed up to almost 60 degrees F near the end of our trip in MA. I set off on this ride because my cardiologist said my EKG done on Oct 2, 2023 and all my blood work revealed that it was total safe to get off blood thinners, get back into serious cycling training and attempt such a stressful ride. I'm so appreciative of the practical, supportive professional care that you all at Griffin Cardiology provided me. I couldn't have done this ride without your excellent care.
