Dr. Hughes and his staff are absolutely amazing! You may wait a little bit in the waiting room, but it's worth it!
Dr. Hughes is kind, listens takes his time and doesn't just push any medication. He tries to find something that will work for you personally.
I had been going to this office for many years for a chronic condition. The doctors, nurses, and all other employees always seemed understanding and helpful with my situation.
My lower star review is because a situation regarding prior authorization (PA). After being on an expensive medication for 2 years, my insurance required evidence of my progress. After my medication orders being rejected in Nov + Dec 2024, I visited the doctor 2-3 times within 6 months to ensure they had enough documentation to provide.
In June of 2025, with me still having no medication approved yet & being assured by the doctors office that they were appealing the rejection, I called my insurance and found out no additional documentation had been sent since December 2024. I am not sure what they were planning to do with me since it seems like they saw my case as a lost cause, yet continued to tell me they were going get the insurance to approve my medication. The insurance rep was told by this office that my case was, "taking up time from other patients," and was asked, "why would we send more documentation when you're just going to reject it?".
After switching to another dermatologist, they were able to solve the PA issue in less than a month & get me back on medication.
TLDR: If you just need check-ins here and there, and want to see a small local doctor, this is a great office. If you anticipate any issues with long term treatment for moderate to severe conditions or any issues with your insurance company's PA/coverage policies please go somewhere else.
Dr Hughes is an immaculately professional doctor. He is sympathetic, informative and kind. He carried out a difficult procedure on the inside of my hand gently and skillfully. I am relieved and grateful that I found such an exceptional doctor. I was nervous of the anaesthetising injection in this sensitive area, but he spoke me through it while working gently, meticulously and reassuringly. I can highly recommend Dr Hughes to anyone. My husband is in the medical profession and I appreciate a good doctor when I meet one. Thank you, Dr Hughes.
