Overpriced and too stuck-up for my liking. I remember when you could inquire about a tattoo directly from the artist and discuss your ideas. You could chat with the artist about their background and what got them into tattooing. Now, and at this location. You have to set an appointment, pay an "inquiry fee of $100," and also pay an hourly wage for a tattoo. I asked the attendant how much a small tattoo would cost, she mentioned "that depends how long," and "$200 minimum." There was little to no art on display, and only one tattoo artist was decent at this location. Everyone else was horrible. If I wanted a prison tattoo I would have committed robbery to be sent upstate. Even then, the tattoos are better.

What really made me the most upset is the slim book they gave you. Each artist had not even 2 pages of work. Then the website is not about their tattoos, but a gallery of paintings and art. Disappointing!

Had Berto as my artist for a colored half sleeve. Spent 13-14 hours over two sessions to complete the half sleeve. Throughout the sessions, Berto was meticulous with detail and spend time making sure colors came out looking great. Would definitely trust him again for any future piece ideas.

Minimal NYC is also a spacious and clean shop I would definitely recommend to any friends 👍

The whole experience was great from the artist to the customers. Very professional my artist was Rene he was great all around personality and talent he far exceeded my expectations after seeing the design but he brought it to life far better than I imagined. Very good on checking in to see how I was holding up as well as allowing breaks if needed. Can’t wait to finish the rest of the arm

You walk into this shop and instantly feel welcomed and are surrounded by a team of tattooists that are true masters of their craft. I had the pleasure of working with Violetta for a smaller fine line kind of piece as my first experience here and it came out excellent. Then I had some older tattoos and gaps that needed re-work and addition in black and grey realism and linked up with Berto. His vision and execution exceeded all expectations and really transformed what I had going on to another level. Just looking around at the pieces all the artists are working on you quickly realize you're in good hands no matter which artist you choose to work with. Minimal is seriously an amazing tattoo shop composed of top-tier, elite, professional artists ready to bring high-quality execution to all of your tattoo ideas.
