Munch Repair Services

The guys at Munch have been caring for my vehicles for the last ~10yrs. Always fast and reliable. They are exceedingly knowledgeable as well. Highly recommended Munch auto to anyone in the Three Village Area.

I’ve taken my car here for basic service, it’s fine they do what they say they’re going to do and will work with you on scheduling. Deducted stars for two reasons: firstly being that they leave the car absolutely filthy every time. To an unacceptable degree. The first time this happened I didn’t feel compelled to write a review but this is place is not cheap and to leave the car in this condition is reasonably upsetting. I had gotten my car professionally detailed the week prior and I get it back from them with the door handles covered in grease, the steering wheel, the gear shifter, the door panel, the seats, everything on the drivers side AND passenger side. My car’s interior is beige and it’s hard to miss on top of feeling disgusting. This is quite upsetting and unreasonable. The most recent service I had done was a battery replacement -why is there grease everywhere in my car? Lastly, the price they charge you is more than what they say it will be over the phone. Overall, I can’t say I would recommend this place.

I have no idea what mechanics these other people are going to, we must be having the complete opposite experience. I've gone a few times, once to repair my brakes once for a weird noise my car was making. The guy on the phone told me the problem with my brakes was just a leak in the brake loop, and they just had to fix a gasket. Makes sense, that's what it felt like. I told him to go ahead and repair it, and he says it'll be 500 dollars. A little pricey but whatever. I come the next day, I see the bill it's 760 dollars, no idea where the extra 240 came from, whatever, but then I get in my car and there's grease all over the passengers seat. Why would they even be on the passengers seat??? Ended up paying 760 dollars to replace "this little easy gasket" and then had to clean the interior of my car myself to get all the grease off. I guess they did fix it, but not good customer service and they make a mess.

Great, professional service. Not only did they tell me what was going on with my car, they actually fixed a minor issue I had, without being asked. The pricing was entirely fair as well. I will be going here again!

UPDATE: I CANNOT say enough good things about this business. they are incredibly professional and not only did they tell me what the problem was, they also told me about some OTHER problems with my car that I would want to look into in the coming months. props especially to John. HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED!

As an international student from SBU, I don’t know whether my tire in the picture is leaking. So I ask the workers in this place to help me. One guy helps me bump up my 4 tires and checks whether this tire is leaking in 5 minutes, then charges me 15 dollars.
