They do a great job on my fire dept. Trucks and command vehicles. I also use them for my personal truck. Always up front and on time. Highly recommend
I walked in first thing in the morning after speaking to their receptionist over a week prior to making the appointment and the manager Tommy was talking to his techs and explaining to them he may not be able to pay them there rate as some work they had done the day before was a lot more than they had been quoted. Tommy asked my opinion on the matter which I thought was thoughtful but in hindsight should have been a red flag. I needed my heater replaced and was assured when making the appointment that it was straight forward and I’d have it back within the day. When I arrived he had no idea who I was. Around 12 I called as I hadn’t heard back after 4 hours. Tommy let me know that they had spent an hour on it and couldn’t figure it out and wanted to know how much more time I’d be willing to invest in them figuring it out which again is a red flag ( basically them asking me how much I’d be willing to lose before I get an answer) to which I stated one hour. I also asked for an oil change. I got a call within 20 minutes stating that they would have to replace the whole heating unit (300) but that it would take them close to another 6 hours… and quoted me a price of 1400 dollars before New York State tax. I promptly said that I appreciate his time but I’d like the vehicle back and asked him what I would owe for the two hours of labor and the oil change. Tommy replied he would have to get back to me. He did not. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle they attempted to charge me for 2.75 hours of labor…total expenses for 90 minute diagnostic and oil change 605. I questioned his math based on our conversation and Tommy jokingly explained he would have assumed that putting the dash back together would have been in addition to the time he quoted me. With little griping he knocked the bill down slightly. All and all I paid 405 dollars for an oil change and still no heat
. The paper work I received back did not have definitive answers as to what was wrong and their solution was to just to replace the entire system. I would not have left a review at all except as I was driving home I noticed that they had not reattached all the plastic trim pieces that they had removed from my vehicle and that they were laying on the floor in the passenger side.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
North East Service Center has been incredible to work with! They’ve done a lot of work on my converted school bus, and the quality, honesty, and attention to detail are top-notch. Tommy especially deserves a shoutout — he’s super helpful, communicative, and genuinely fun to work with. It’s so refreshing to find a shop that truly cares about their customers and their vehicles. Highly recommend!
5 Stars across the board! Tommy and the entire North East team are all included. Great experience, thorough job, attention to detail and customer service was next level. Highly recommend, will be back.
