The place is clean and well stocked. The prices are reasonable. I will be back to shop again but not with a joyful spirit. Their customer service was not very warm or friendly. Don't expect a nurturing crew but there is a lot to choose from
Staff would rather do anything than help. I asked some questions and wanted the lady behind the counter to help me and she finally did but I was embarrassed by her vibe. I was there to get rice noodles. The store was over priced and very small. I asked other staff that were putting items on the shelf to help first but they redirected me to the front end staff.
I give it 5 stars because it's the only Asian grocery store that's convenient to get to if you live in Central Suffolk County. It's easier to come here to get rice, sauces, etc. I absolutely LOVE the fresh baby bok choys. They are tender, clean and beautiful. Packaged so nicely and delicious every time! I also love that I can find Tonkatsu sauce, which is not normally found in stores. A 25 pound bag of Thai Jasmine rice is only $26. You can't go wrong. Look for this place behind Burger King on Nesconset Hwy in Stonybrook. Once you're there you might as well go to the strip of places on the side street (Stonybrook Rd) for a bite to eat (Red Tiger Dumpling House, Splendid Noodle (homemade stretched noodles).
I appreciate the staff: they are so patient and kind! The store aisles are a little narrow, but the variety of ingredients and snacks is awesome!
I usually grab a unique snack while I shop for rice noodles and bean sprouts.
I love that I find something new here every time. Today’s find is a delicate little white handmade dried shrimp and pork roll garnished with sesame seeds and scallions.The roll was so tender and light I really enjoyed it. Delicious..
