The Other Side Wine Bar was warm and welcoming upon entering the door. The atmosphere is inviting, and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. The aesthetic is modern and rustic. They always keep the menu interesting by providing unique main stays and specials each evening. The food is consistently excellent, as is the service. The manager Ryan provides excellent service consistently and is always warm and welcoming to guests. One of the things that stands out is the authenticity of the food that is created with care and professionalism. Furthermore, the variety of the drink selection Is noteworthy as well. Since moving to Glen Cove, this has been my go-to spot and highly recommend it without reservation.

I am from a city in the Pacific Northwest with an extraordinary farm to table culinary scene and a fantastic local wine industry. Honestly, I have not been terribly thrilled with the offerings on LI and particularly in Nassau County (sorry if this offends anyone). This was my first visit to this place and, well…wow. I got there at opening, thus it was very quiet. I sat at the bar and was warmly greeted; wonderful conversation with the bartender, who hails from Gramercy Tavern and was quite knowledgeable about the food and beverage offerings. I had the burger and a wonderful glass of a suggested red wine. The burger was perfectly cooked and the fries were crispy and delicious. A second server checked in on me periodically and she was lovely. The ingredients are of high quality, local, organic and sustainable where possible, and the prepared food very flavorful. This was a delightful combination of true hospitality, a warm and comfortable ambiance, thoughtfully prepared food, and very good wine. I highly recommend it.

We recently moved to the area from London and we were sorely missing our local wine bars. Otherside was absolutely incredible and felt very much like something we would have gone to before. The wine is beautiful, staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and the food was delicious! We will be back. Highly recommend to anyone who loves natural wine- there are some local and further afield treasures here.

Found my new favorite place tonight!! From the moment I walked in I knew I would love dinner tonight. The vibe is so cozy with warm wood tones and subtle lighting making you feel like you are dining at a dear friend’s place in New England. Kathy, our superb waitress was great in describing the dishes and helping us choose. We dived into the wine flight which helped create our own pairing menu. Started with Caesar salad and then slow roasted carrots on top of ricotta - truly an outstanding dish. The squid ink pasta was delicious and the scallop special melted in my mouth. We didn’t have room for dessert and will definitely be back soon for another meal which will include dessert. Excited to have such an excellent offering close to home.

Me and my better half were so excited about this spot opening and we weren’t disappointed. Awesome low intervention wines by the glass that you can’t find anywhere on the island by the glass. Wine nerds will be flocking here.

A mark of a great chef is shown by how they treat their veggies. If that’s the case then this chef is dynamite. Awesome eating throughout the night.

Despite opening a week ago service was smooth and incredibly timely, attentive and kind. Super impressive performance.
