Went for lunch. Had chicken mushroom sandwich. Thought it was pretty good. Should have asked for more sauce but I had a good time. Anyway, I will definitely go back and try something else

My visit started out a little gruff but definitely changed for the better. I traveled with a service dog, and instead of being asked by the owner if he was a service dog, he immediately stated dogs weren't allowed. Mind you, Major, did have a service vest on. When I stated he was a service dog, he asked for his card, also attached to his vest, and when shown, things changed. That would be my only complaint of the visit.
The waitress was Amyia, she was polite, friendly and helpful.
I ordered Shrimp Parmesan and linguini for the side dish. It also came with a beautiful salad and bread. The Shrimp Parmesan, when served, was a healthy portion and presented perfectly. The linguini on its own plate. The food was excellent!
As for the atmosphere, the outside is a basic Pizzeria store front. After you enter, the front is your basic pizzeria with booth seating, but the backroom is more like a restaurant. This is the little secret of the restaurant. It was still set up with a Valentine decor that even included a fake cherry tree blossoming. It looked great, friendly, and warm. A nice touch.
I highly recommend the restaurant for its food. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous.

Little old Italian restaurant in a strip plaza off of the Tachtonic parkway. Definitely stop in and try a slice or sit in the dining room for a fresh home made Italian meal. Service and staff were excellent. They make you feel like you are part of their family.

Going upstate, we passed through the area and stopped at Sonny's Pizza.

As you walk in, Sonny's looks like your average pizza place with a place to dine in the back.

My family just wanted some pizza, so we sat and ordered up front. The pizza slices are ginormous! It's easily larger than your average NYC slice. The sauce on the pizza was especially tasty. The pizza had the right crisp, too!

The prices were very fair as well and the service was excellent.

If you're in the area, give them a try!

I ordered a margarita pizza and a chicken parm hero and they were both delicious. I asked for the pizza thin and well done and it was. And I love that they know to toast the bread for the chicken parm.
